So when people ask you what you do, what do you say? "I am a distributor?" "A marketer?" "An engineer (oops...)?" How about "I wrote a book called 'The Top 7 Secrets You Must Know Right Now To Live Your Dream Life?' or something more creative.
So what am I talking about? Well, I'm talking about writing a simle eBook or report that will help you gain instant credibility. It's really nothing "new" to most of us, but I think it'll be safe to say that 99% of us never even TRIED it. You see, when you are an author, people tend to automatically put you at an elevated position. It'll give you tremendous leverage to attract more prospects. Check out Jim Yaghi's profile. In it he said he's "the author of '8 Days to Cashflow in MLM'." I think those are video series, but you get the drift.
One of the things I did was I created an eight-page report (yes, only 8 pages in 14-pt fonts... that's it) for my retail business and got some very good leads for my retail business for almost TWO YEARS. No kidding. And I want to emphasize that the steps are really simple that all of us can do it.
Fernando Ceballos wrote in one of his articles that what's stopping people "usually is something trivial like technology... which is a real shame."
So... Please reply here if you ARE interested in seeing step-by-step instructions on how to make create an eBook/report with clickable links, bookmark/table of content, the works, all for FREE and easily accessible resources. If I get enough interest I'll post it here. I actually got this idea from community member Emma Tiebens while we were chatting on the phone today.
Since I'm kind of short on time here I'll only do this if I know I'm helping enough people to justify the time and effort.

Hi Jerry, This does work - I'm averaging 3 local leads per day and I'm just getting started. I wrote a short 20 page free ebook report targeting people who have a health issue that my product may be able to help them with. I give the book away and inside are links to my flash presentation designed to retail the product first and recruit satisfied customers into loyal, committed business partners.
Most people won't write a book so with each member of my downline I let them duplicate my booklet with their name listed as a co-author. They can give copies away provided they do not change anything other than adding their name and a link to their company website flash presentation page.
The book never mentions our company or product but it does a great job of creating credibility and curiosity so prospects do check out the links and many are excited enough to tell others about it.
I've been struggling for years trying to attract prospects over the internet with poor results to show despite all of the time, study, effort and money I've put into my self education over many years.
But now I have a simple and duplicable way for everyone in my team to attract local prospects to them. So instead of limiting myself to building long distance over the internet and phone I'm going off line and just point everyone to my online tools listed in my author bio box and every day now I'm getting phone calls from local prospects who got a hold of my free report, visited my site, watch the flash presentation and wants to purchase and/or join our income opportunity!
The key for me is I'm now able to approach anyone in person and ask them a very simple question and it does not matter if they answer yes or no. I give each my CD business card with my book and links embedded on it and let the tools sort out the ones I can help. So I no longer try to sell or convince people of anything. I let the tools educate, sort and sell for me so now those who want what I have respond and they come to me already sold. And when I tell them all they have to do to generate local recruits and retail product is to add their name and link to my book, burn it onto a mini CD and give copies away to others who suffer over certain health issues they know they can duplicate something that produces results!
So Jerry - you've spilled the beans - let's see how many people pick them up and use this to grow their own local and long distant teams!
