Lead Attraction And Conversion: Qualifying Questions
Qualifying Questions To Ask Your Potential Partners
These are guidelines of some qualifying questions you can ask. These are not all of the questions you can ask so don't hesitate to modify but understand the meaning behind the combination of "Fact Finding' and Needs Assessment" questions.
I send this out as an auto-responder message when someone requested more information about starting a home based business.
It works best in an auto-responder instead of in a survey on your site because most people won't want to invest time answering them before they talk to a real person.
Remember our goal in prospecting for business partners: We are seeking to establish a mutually beneficial business relationship with the right person.
I had so much fun with this part and here's why:
"Depending on how they answered the question reveals a lot, but the question they couldn't answer revealed even more!"
- What motivated you to seek a new business opportunity?
- Are you currently working?
- If not, how long have you been unemployed?
- If yes, whats your current position?
- How did you get into that profession/what attracted you to it?
- What do/did you like the most about what you do/did?
- How long have you been looking to start a business?
- What will happen if you don't find something soon?
- What other offers have you considered so far and why did you turn them down, please be as detailed as possible?
- Are you prepared to start immediately working toward your goals?
- How much have you set aside any start up costs and advertising budget?
- Tell me about your business ownership experience?
- What income level are you accustomed to?
- If you were writing your own paycheck, based on your current sales skills how much would you pay yourself? Why?
- What are you currently reading? of the title of the last book you've read?
I encourage you to print these out and use these qualifying questions as often as you can on friends, family your existing organization (if you have one). Tell them your practicing your new recruiting skills.
You'd be surprised at how many people you will NOT even want to recruit based on their answers (or lack of answers) to these questions.
I practiced it on a friend of mine in another organization and discovered I would not have recruited her based on her answers. She wasn't surprised!
It revealed that she had started her business for the wrong reasons and it explained why her business was floundering.
I had asked myself these same questions too and it wasn't until I got real clear on what I wanted and why that my business improved.
This was because now I was also clear on the type of person who would be successful in business.
Not only would you need the right kind of motivation that will keep them around long enough to experience success but also the willingness to continuously develop themselves into someone who deserves it.
If you can't give yourself good answers to these qualifying questions it may be a hint as to way you are not experiencing the success that you want...
To more quality recruits,
