Lead Attraction: The first Part Of The InterNetwork Marketng Blue Print
Lead Attraction is the art of learning
home to speak your target markets
language and letting them know in
more ways than one.
It very closely resembles dating.
If you follow me for a moment you'll
see why.
When using the Internet for lead
generation is important to under
stand how your potential partner
are using the Internet to find the products and services
you are offering for sale.
That way you will know how to structure, word
phrase and angle your:
- Capture pages/Squeeze pages/ Landing pages
- Advertisements
- Blogs
- Pay-per-click campaigns
- Forum posts
- Articles
- videos
- News letters/follow up emails
- Social network profiles
Basically every piece of content you will ever
create.
Learning and applying the principles of lead
attraction will clear up the mystery of why
your content is working (attracting leads)
or not working (repelling leads).
Just like dating, you have to provide what your potential prospects are already looking for, and you have to be... attractive!
For example: I was speaking with one
of my students named Michelle. Michele became
a distributer of direct sales (MLM) juice
company after it directly impacted a sensitive
medical condition (call chronic constipation)
she suffered for over 10 years.
I asked Michelle If she had done any research
of how common the condition was. She replied,
"The doctor's office is always full when I go!".
I had a feeling we were on to something.
Michele is in her own target market so it is
easy to come up with ideas for her lead
attraction content.
After doing some preliminary keyword research,
Michele is well on her way to creating attractive
content that targets a profitable niche and
provides a real solution to a real problem.
Here are some ideas for a head line for some
content on the subject: "Do you suffer from...?"
"Are you embarrassed by your...?" , "Have you
been seeking relief of...?"
Michele can also use the fact that she was
skeptical about the product at first and ad
resorted to a life of laxatives since even the
doctor's prescriptions had failed her!
I hope your getting the point here... This is
the type of stuff your target market is putting
into the search engines right now.
This is where your CONTENT is the star of the
show because that is what people are on the
Internet looking for in the first place:
Possible solutions, reviews, forums, articles
and FREE info for a specific problem.
If you have content on information others
are looking for you will attract leads to it.
Here are the tools you will need:
A website/web page.
Preferably, one you build or have built for
you where you control and manage the look
feel and content.
Not the boring, brochure-like, replicated
site from your affiliate program or from your MLM
corporate. Nor do you want one that is too
complicated or flashy.
A webpage on a social network site like Myspace
Squidoo, twitter, Hubpages, LinkedIn, Youtube,
Tubemogul and others are great too.
The search engines LOVE to show information
seekers these types of sites first when people
do any kind of 'search engine query' for word
phrases like "starting a home business" or "what
is network marketing?".
Ideally you will have multiple
points of contact loaded with lead attraction
content.
You will want to have the basics like a picture
of yourself and an informative, detailed about
me section along with blogs and articles showing
your knowledge and/or passion about a subject,
product, service, industry, process etc. that
potential prospects may be actively seeking.
In order to know what your prospective leads
are looking for I suggest an search tool found here.
This will help you tap into the mind set of your
target market so you know what to talk about in
your content in the first place to attract the
best quality leads free articles and blogs will
ever know.
More likely than not, thats how you found me!
Resist the temptation to pitch signing up as
a rep with your business opportunity if they
are contacting you about purchasing products.
Again, like dating, this is just the introduction,
"Hey, my name is... and here's what I'm about..."
Now it not the time nor the place to make a
sale/close. Simply build rapport, present your
experience and background.
As they learn more and become more comfortable
with you and the features, benefits and advantages
of your products there will plenty of time for that.
Next Up in the blue print is...
Lead Collection
Here's to attracting the best,
