Let's Join The Recession! (No Really!!!)

I am sure you have seen the emails and messages urging you not to participate in the dreaded.... RECESSION! Initially, I agreed and repeated that mantra to my friends, business associates and family but as the days have passed and I have gotten more focused on my business and goals I came to a conclusion...

We as humans naturally do more to avoid pain than we do to gain pleasure! Said another way, I/You/We will do more to keep from being hurt than we will ever do to realize pleasure! Hopefully that makes sense to you, if not, I will have to work on my penmanship.

The point is, I as a business person had to honestly acknowledge that YES, there is a RECESSION and YES I am a part of it and YES (For Me) it's in my best interest to participate in it! Here is why...

Every customer and client that I have is constantly being bombarded with this message and they have all but resolved that they are a part of the RECESSION... BUT more so than being a part of the RECESSION they are more concerned with how to avoid having their financial futures RUINED by the RECESSION! And therein for me, lied the distinction needed to catapult my business to the next level.

Once I really acknowledged this, I then kicked into what I call my "Wilderness Diet Mentality" which merely means I begin to meditate on and exhaust all the known methods that produce business AND I DO THEM AT THE SAME TIME in as aggressive a manner as possible and the more grassroots the better! So for my real estate business, I have dusted off many of the old methods I used in the late 90's and early 2000's to build my business that were all tremendously successful in producing business for me. In fact, they were so good at producing business I got lazy and only wanted to sit in my office and wait on deals to pop up!

No more... because of the RECESSION my marketing has taken a more aggressive stance, my tone in the marketing is more aggressive and like I said my methods are more aggressive! And likewise for my Internet businesses, I am going back to the drawing board simple methods that I KNOW produce traffic like clockwork. Writing an article a day, posting on relevant blogs and doing a few videos a week.

At the end of the day, it is these old tried and true business practices that I migrated from during the FAT days of excess (got lazy) that will produce the supernatural results I desire in the midst of this RECESSION.

You see it is a fact, that a small minority of business owners make more money than ever during these type of lean financial times of chaos and calamity! Primarily because they understand that people are looking for answers and they are willing to pay for it, plain and simple! People are losing their jobs, left and right, they are in fear of losing their homes and quite honestly they are looking for answers to solve these very pressing issues!

And these people (my customers/your customers/everyones customers) will all do more to avoid the effects of this RECESSION than they will to enjoy the pleasurable benefits of any product or resource we may be offering... So the moral of the story for me was I (TYRON) am participating in the RECESSION from the vantage point of going back to the tried & true marketing tactics and strategies that have always produced results AND so that I can intimately understand what my clients are facing so that I know exactly how to craft my marketing message to suit their current mindstate, needs and objectives!

Hopefully this makes sense to at least (1) of you, it made sense to me in my mind but the filter between a thought in the mind and it being clearly conveyed to others can sometimes be weird and convoluted! Thanks for reading and I would love to know your thoughts on this article...
