Magnetic Sponsoring - Changing the Face of Network Marketing


When something is over 100 years old, a face lift might not be enough change. 

Network marketing is not a new industry – and it certainly isn’t a new idea.  Its roots go back to 1903 when the Watkins Company (originally known as the Watkins Apothecary) first introduced a direct selling plan to market its spices and home products.   For 105 years, thousands of companies entered the network marketing field of play.  Products ranging from long distance telephone services to bomb shelters, water filters to laundry detergent, and cosmetics to nutritional products were offered by companies entering the industry.  Often times, success depended upon the primary sponsoring message each company offered its prospective representative – that message being either product or compensation plan based.

So, with all of this industry activity and companies relying basically on two primary sponsoring messages, how is it that Magnetic Sponsoring is taking the initiative and changing 105 years of industry status quo?   Here is a partial list of “hows” plus ways you can take advantage of them to build your business.

·         Magnetic Sponsoring promotes leadership.  We aren’t talking about leadership based on title, but leadership based on activity and productivity.  By influencing people with the correct business motives, attitudes, and resources, Mike Dillard and company are helping people generate new business skills, learn new personal and professional skills, and create strong community relationships.  Mike himself calls this “becoming an alpha networker”.  Find an alpha leader somewhere in the Magnetic Sponsoring community that you can relate to.  Study them, read their articles and their posts in the MLM forum.  Make contact with them and develop a mentoring relationship.   

·         Magnetic Sponsoring promotes mentorship.  We are invited into a community of servants willing to share, coach, and teach each other how to improve business activity and our bottom line.  No where else can we find individuals willing to give of themselves, their time, and their knowledge without a guarantee of financial return.  Obviously, people get involved with Magnetic Sponsoring because they want to increase their profits and to hopefully generate leads for the expansion of their business.  But, somewhere in the process, their perspective changes from getting to giving.  Perhaps the greatest benefit of the mentorship program is the simple fact that we not only benefit from our mentors, we are taught how to be a mentor to others.  Find someone to mentor.  Give without expecting something in return.  It will surprise you how much more efficient you will become in your own business when you have people depending on you for advice, coaching and information.

·         Magnetic Sponsoring promotes relationships.  People will always do business with people.  This concept isn’t new.  Magnetic Sponsoring encourages and promotes attraction marketing.  This idea alone opens up an entirely new paradigm for building a successful network marketing organization.  Creating and building relationships, not money, becomes the driving force.  Make it a point to click on the “add as a friend” link.  Contact people, communicate, listen to them, and learn from them.  When someone contacts you wanting to add you to their list, don’t just click on accept…send them a message.  Remove the sterility of the “add a friend” process.  If there’s basis for a relationship then nurture the contact. 

·         Magnetic Sponsoring offers free business building content to its members.  Through article submissions and forum postings, members provide an unending source of educational materials available to everyone in the community.  This concept alone increases participation and activity from within.   In addition, Mike and his team of instructors actively provide valuable, current content on a regular basis.  Dig in, write some articles with meat - not fluff.  The more you research topics for your articles, the more you’ll understand your industry.  Participate in the forums – your input is valuable.  Don’t let a lack of experience deter you from posting.  What you add is just that – an addition to a concept.  Ask questions, the question you ask is one that hundreds of others want to ask, but they were too shy to post.

·         Magnetic Sponsoring promotes entrepreneurship.  New ideas stimulate new business.  Like Mike so obviously pointed out, “You sell a marketing system…the marketing system sells your company.”  An entirely new idea for the network marketing industry.  For years people have sold their company and then introduced the marketing system.  More new ideas will be conceived, nurtured, tested, and taught from within the Magnetic Sponsoring community in the days and weeks ahead. 

By offering leadership, mentorship, entrepreneurship, relationships, and education, Magnetic Sponsoring is doing a complete face lift on the industry. 

I don’t think Magnetic Sponsoring will bring about world peace…but it could sure start world communication, education, and understanding.  Magnetic Sponsoring may not be making a world of difference, but it is making a huge difference in the network marketing world.
