5 Simple Steps To Becoming the WORST Forum Marketer Ever

Read More: Marketing

Most articles tell you how to be the best at something, especially in the Internet Marketing genre.  You can search online and find articles on being the best article marketer, how to explode your business using pay-per-click, and how to make the best money-producing videos.  These articles are great, and I've written many myself.  But in this article, I'm going to show you how to be the very worst forum marketer ever.

1.  Don't read the forum rules.

Once you've found a forum in your niche, jump right in and start blasting responses in any way you please.  After all, rules are for losers, right?  You don't want to waste time reading rules and regulations when you can be getting customers for your business!  Rules are meant to be broken, so don't worry about them.

2.  Don't bother completing your profile.

Profiles are a waste of time.  After all, you just want to sell!  Don't worry about customizing your profile or adding a picture so that others can get to know you.  After all, if someone buys your product and has problems, the last thing you'll want is for them to know who you are.  Yes, it's much better to remain as anonymous as possible.  But if you do fill out your profile, be sure to use a fake name and mention your product or service as many times as possible.

3.  Create a Blatantly Promotional Signature File

Everyone knows that signature files are a place to promote yourself, so make yours really good!  Again, never give your real name -- to remain anonymous -- and put as many affiliate and product links as you can.  The "big forum bosses" will let you know if there's a problem, so go for it!  Be sure to add a great tag line under your fake forum name, something like, "My products will blow your mind, buy now!"  That oughta do it.

4.  Answer Every Post Possible.

Your job is not to actually read each post.  You only want to get your "advertisement" out there as much as possible.  Be sure to throw in affiliate or product links in each response, and while you're there make sure to irritate as many other forum members as possible.  Blatantly promote your product on every post.  If you find a post that is unrelated to your product or service and you don't have anything to contribute, answer it anyway and tell them all about what you have to offer.  Make it all about you.

5.  Create a Post with a Controversial Yet Totally Misleading Headline

By starting a thread which provokes discussion or debate, you'll attract a ton of people to comment on your thread, which will constantly bump your thread to the top of the board.  And it doesn't really matter if you have nothing relevant to add, or if your headline if grossly misleading and maybe even inappropriate.  You can slip in your product information at every opportunity.  Maybe you can even PM those who answer your thread, and promote your product privately.  Wouldn't that be clever!

There you go -- 5 steps to becoming the worst forum marketer ever.

If you work really hard at ignoring every forum rule, remain as anonymous as possible, and blatantly pitch your product or service to anyone and everyone within reach, you can quite possibly become a forum marketing legend in your own time!
