8 Spooky Things Most Network Marketers Do

Read More: Marketing

Just because it is Halloween does not mean that you have to be a ghoul when it comes to Network Marketing.

Take a look below and see if you are doing any of these ghastly things, and if so, you might want to stop doing them ASAP. Your business and prospects will thank you.

Don’t Suck More than Dracula . If you ever have the impulse to call a lead and leave more than one voicemail, don’t do it. It makes you look needy, and it’s flat out creepy. Think undead stalker, and don’t be one. You want to portray yourself as a top-notch professional, not a bottom feeder. Don’t be a vampire.

Stay Away From Handing Out Free ‘Candy’. What do I mean by ‘candy’? You know, overly sugared junk full of toxic things that most people can’t pronounce. Give people VALUE, not more hollow and useless garbage that seems to be prevalent on the net nowadays. Think leadership, and give your followers a reason to follow you.

Ghosting Someone Else’s Material is Just Spooky. If you see something you like on the internet, it does not mean you can just take it. No one likes Ninjas. This is especially true with articles that someone else has taken the time and effort to write, which people grab, rephrase a little bit, and then try to promote as their own material. This is not only flat out illegal, but immoral. Simply don’t do it.
Write your articles yourself, or pay someone to write them for you if you aren’t the writing type. You’ll feel better for it and be a true leader.

Be Original, Not a Doppleganger (Clone). You need to be unique and brand yourself as a leader.
Don’t use the same, lame, cookie cutter company replicated website that everyone and their grandmother is using. It is just flat out unprofessional and will paint you as an absolute and total newbie. In other words, someone that some one does NOT want to work with. Be yourself, and be fresh.

De-crypt Your Website. If your website is not easy to remember, and easy to spell, you are in for a world of unnecessary problems. Also, DO NOT use your standard, canned, affiliate website url in your website, business cards, or online promotions! I cannot stress this enough.
If you want to look incredibly bad, the way to do it is to have a link on your site that says: www.myparentcompany.com/mystupidusername This just brings up a huge red flag that says: NOOB! Go buy a .com domain for $10, and have it forwarded to your affiliate link. You can register one here for cheap: http://www.geekkitten.com

Avoid being a Mummy to your Downline. You are responsible for introducing someone to an opportunity. It is not your job to baby sit. Nor are you responsible for their success or failure. That is all upon them. So unwrap yourself from being bound to your downlines, and focus on your own success. The best way you can help them is to lead by example anyway, and if they truly have the drive to succeed, they will do so.

Don’t Be an Ogre. No one likes a bully, especially not your prospect. If you think you are pressuring your contact to enroll in your primary opportunity, you probably are.
No one likes to be beaten upside the head with a club. They’ll just end up being a bottomless time sink or will end up quitting. Bottom line: Don’t do it.

Lycanthrope is a Disease. This kind of ties in with the prior point. Don’t howl at your downlines like so many supposed ‘leaders’ do. They aren’t your children. And if they start seeing you as a ‘parent’ figure and pin all of their successes or failures on YOU, then you are in for a very rough ride.
So be nice to your downlines and help them within reason, but don’t howl at them if they aren’t doing what you want them to do. Besides, howling is for werewolves.

Have a safe, fun, and Happy Halloween!

The best of health, and wealth, to each of you.
