Who Are You... and Why Are You Talking To Me?

Your prospects and potential clients are asking themselves right now... who are you and why are you talking to me?
You better have a good answer.
In network marketing there is one skill upon everything else depends - your communication skills.
Your focus and effort is placed on becoming a leader in your market and communication is the backbone of leadership. You must focus on transferring your ideas, thoughts, desires, etc. from the privacy of your mind to a common place where other people can share them.
You want to reach your prospect on a rational, emotional, and value based level.

You must learn to craft your message, however complex it may be, to something that is accessible to those who may not share your knowledge or background.
By successfully getting your message across, you convey your thoughts and ideas effectively.
Communicating to Your Prospects
When crafting your communications it must go right to the heart of your prospect.
Knowing your prospect wants and desires is essential.
True communicators have an appreciation for positioning.
You need to know what your prospect can and can't hear.
Send your message in through an open door rather than trying to push it through a wall.
Part of knowing your audience is the ability to listen. Communication can't always follow the top-down model. With the connection and intertwining of information today, leaders need to be masterful listeners; they need to be able to receive as well as send.
Focus on crafting communications that affect the vision, mission, and transformation of your the prospect you are seeking.
Don't Forget the Call To Action
Remember one of the most important things to do when communicating is issue a call to action. These messages galvanize people to rally behind you. They tell people what to do and how to do it. Never forget that your messaging and communication has to get people to move.
They are going to move somewhere they might as well be moving with you.
In direct sales and network marketing it is critical to always include a call to action in everything you do.

Taking Action and Saying WoW
Great write up "When crafting your communications it must go right to the heart of your prospect." In so many words this really helps me visualize what you mean when you as the Topic's Main question and it echoes what so many people miss yet what I've heard you say many times over that when creating a connection you really are creating a relationship and in order to do that you must truly be looking to meet that individual's need and show how much you care. Again Great Post Scott
