I agree to a certain point.
Keyword search is mandatory when advertising online, but there's a problem.
It doesn't matter if there's a big demand ,what matters is what keywords the end user is typing for a search. If there's a high demand then there's ton of other marketers competing for the same keyword. The ones that get the most traffic are the ones who target long tail keywords and spy on their competition.

Once you find a good keyword is just a matter of writing a blog,article and press release about it. Continue this process and good things will follow.
