Many people these days are turning to affiliate marketing, but WHAT IS IT?

Affiliate marketing is promoting other people’s products so that you can earn commissions on them.  There is no limit to how many products you can promote, and it is legal.

Article writing is a very powerful tool and is the best strategy to use these days as it increases your trust, credibility and also traffic which all work to increasing your conversion rate, as people then see you as a real person.

All you need is to gain experience in this field i.e. there are many sites on google where you can find all this experience, plus you need a bit of time for writing, editing and then submitting your articles to your blog.  Once you have found your niche (the products that you want to promote) place them on your blog and just get them out there.

You will need to gain experience and knowledge on the subject that you are promoting – e.g. if you see something that is new on the market then get on to it and start searching and finding out all that you can about this product then blog it.  This is going to gain you a lot of trust and credibility by providing unbiased quality information.  If you can provide this then people are going to click on your links and buy which means they are more than likely going to return to your site and will probably share your advice with others which is going to lead to more sales.

A few of the strategies to succeed in affiliate marketing are:-

Always buy a good domain – never go for the free ones if you want to succeed

There are many places you can purchase a good domain with a professional look – Fasthosts, Go-Daddy, 123 Reg are just a few examples and can be very cost effective.  If you are only operating in the UK then it is best to purchase a .co.uk but if you want to promote worldwide then .com is probably the best option.  If you want to submit articles to article sites like Ezine Articles you will need to have a top level domain.  It shows the reader that you are genuine and it also protects your affiliate commissions from someone who might want to copy your affiliate links.

It is always best to choose a niche that you have knowledge on.

A good place to start would be Clickbank where you can search the market place for your niche.  But don’t go looking for a programme that seems to be high dollar as this will not always be profitable. You must be able to provide the knowledge and information content people are looking for.  For example if you are knowledgeable on say horses, travel, health products, pets etc - then look for a niche where you can provide all the information and knowledge you have.  This will then strengthen your articles and build your reader’s trust.

Always be informative

When you are searching for an answer to something on the internet you can tell when someone is knowledgeable, therefore they gain your trust and you go back to them.  When readers are searching for answers to something and only come across promotional content they are going to be disappointed and not return.  Once you have given all the knowledge you have then follow up with your affiliate offer.  This in the long run will increase your conversion rate. 

Lastly you need to set up a good capture page/landing page.  Your heading can be just short and to the point.  If you are not sure what information to put on your landing page then once again google is a good place to search for header subjects.  It is also not a good idea to set it with all those pop-ups when people click on the link as I know from experience that I just close the page down as they are off-putting and to me they are not looking experienced but looking desparate !!

So if you implement the above strategies it will give your article marketing a boost.  Remember always aim to build that trust and credibility with the reader by providing quality information in your articles.  It is always best in the beginning to build on your content daily.
