Exposed: The Multiple Income Streams Lie

Ok, so if you have been working online for a while you will probably have been told the same as me:   You need Multiple Income Streams to be successful!

Why You Need Multiple Income Streams

Well, I am told, it is not a good idea to rely on ONE income stream.

What if that company fails?

What if you don’t make any sales, or there is a problem with the product?

What if your team all leave, or you find it harder to recruit the team that was going to make you a fortune?

And if you are not working online, it’s still the same:

Rely on an income from one main job, and what if you are made redundant?

Get the picture?

So what was I doing?

So there I was, trying to make money from a few income streams.

My Network Marketing Home Business was giving me a regular income from retail from regular customers.   The team I had were doing a little retail, but recruiting had been slower than I was told it would.   It was partly my fault, and partly because I still had to find the right people.

My teaching job was my main income, but I was dropping my hours to part-time again, to concentrate on my home businesses.

I had joined My Lead System Pro, and could see the benefits of the different marketing strategies, trainings and multiple income streams and Affiliate incomes.

And I was joining a new Online Opportunity, one I was mega excited about, with it’s fantastic team and support and huge amount of benefits.   And I was being given an opportunity to work closely with one of the online Entrpreneurs and Productivity Experts I admired.

The Poblem

So what was the problem?  Surely I would be happy and raking in the money?   Doesn’t working from home give you the lifestyle, money and time you have always wanted?

Wasn’t I raking it in with my Multiple Income Streams?

 Well yes … and no …

You see I had exposed the lie.   Well come across the problem.   Well learned something new.   Well, actually, exposed the lie I had told myself.

Yes, Multiple Incomes are the Way to Go

Yes I still belived in ALL the things I was involved in.

But I couldn’t do it all.    Too much to do.   It wasn’t possible to hold down a full-time or even part-time teaching job and build 3 other businesses.

Perhaps that’s obvious to you.

Well it wasn’t for me.

Trying to build 3 teams.   And increase and find new customers.   And have a life.   Trainings, webinars, phone calls for them all.   I was going insane.   It wasn’t possible.

Support and Important Decisions

Sometimes, we need to get advice from others when we can’t see things ourselves.   Luckily, I have such people.   I knew something was wrong, and was beginning to identify what it was.   I spoke to 3 friends, who all gave me FANTASTIC advice.

I had a support call with Gavin Mountford, and this confirmed what I was already realising.

I had to make choices.   Say no.   Identify what was and wasn’t working.   And eliminate the things that were not.   And say no.   And stick to no.

And the biggest probelem?   Guilt?   Guilt at believing if I was not supporting 3 different c0mpanies’ webinars, I was letting the organisers down.   Guilt that I was not following through my commitments, and making me believe I HAD to do everything.

But I knew I had to focus.   Focus and build one business.  One could keep ticking over but I might have to put the third on hold.

If you are not in Network Marketing, you might not understand my dilemna.   If you are, hopefully you should.

So what about you?

D0 you have to look at where your focus is going to be?

Put some plans in hold?

Do you need to focus on learning ONE new thing, and not loads at the one time?

Let some tick over and make no attempt to build while your focus is elsewhere?

I am so relieved I made my decisions.   So if you are overwhelmed and don’t know where t0 focus, get some advice and make some changes.
