How Google Makes Money
Have you ever wondered how Google makes money?
Because of the fact that Google offers their search engine services for free, it left a lot of people wondering how Google made billions of dollars in just a short amount of time.
In fact, Google made hundreds of their staff millionaires almost overnight. And, just shortly after Google launched, their share prices soared and investors saw that Google has a bright future ahead.
Today, Google dominates 40 percent of the internet search market. But, the problem is that Google offers their search engine services for free.
So, how does Google do it? How did it make a lot of money in such a short amount of time?
First of all, you need to understand that Google is a search engine company. The Google search engine has become so popular that you will often hear people say "Just Google it" when they mean to say to just search for something in the internet.
When you search for something in Google, you will find that the right hand side will contain sponsored links. The companies in the sponsored links pay Google to show their ads when a specific keyword is searched.
It's basically a matter of keywords. If a particular keyword or keywords is searched by someone, an advertising that contains the keyword will be in the sponsored link.
Now, because there are over 200 million searches going on in Google every single day, you can just imagine how much money Google makes every single day.
This is just an example on how Google makes money. At the most basic sense, Google offers advertising opportunities for companies.
And, because Google is one of the most popular search engines in the internet today, you can just imagine how many companies are paying to get their names on the sponsored links.
