Here is a few tips to all who are looking for success via network marketing opportunities:
If the majority of your prospects are unlikely to succeed then neither will you nor the opportunity for that matter! A strong program makes it easy for you and your prospects to succeed while providing everyone with an easy product/service to sell. The easiest product/service to sell in a network marketing business is one that has a wide demographic for an audience with a growing demand for the product or service. Spend a little time researching and weighing all the programs online before making a commitment!
Please do not confuse the difference between an easy selling product and the difficulty of network marketing. That is not what was being explained. People who tell other people that have no marketing background that "they can make a killing with their network marketing business quick" are either scam artists or lack any real marketing knowledge. No matter how easy the product/service is to sell, if neither the prospect nor the sponsor has any real marketing experience it will be like the blind leading the blind. So many hear and repeat "marketing is a numbers game" but truly have no clue what it means. Why do you think advertisers pay millions for a 30 second spot on major commercial spots. The answer is the size of the captive audience. So if you think a business is going to pay you big bucks for reaching an audience of a couple hundred or less, think again. It would be cheaper for them in the long run to pay millions in paid advertising if they had to cough up big bucks to people who think telling a couple hundred people is advertising. At that rate they wouldn't last to long. But I guess these companies didn't plan to anyways. Short term gain or long term investment should always be on your mind when chosing to start investing your time in a mlm or network marketing business.
Hope this helps even just one person from making the mistake of joinning a fly-by-night business!

Great article, Cliff! You are right on! However, I might also add that just as the mantra in real estate is "location, location, location" in network marketing it's "presentation, presentation, presentation". It's stands to reason that a crappy product marketed superbly will do a lot better than a superior product marketed poorly. This ought to be factored in as well.

Excellent reasoning, Clifford. It is so easy to overlook the absolute necessity for great Marketing, to grow any business!
