Notes on Leveraging the News (i.e. MLM 2.0, Renegade Pro and other Launches)

When Leveraging the News, here is a BIG Question to consider so you can really leverage the news and get tons of mileage out of it for a long time to come.

(Mike Klingler talks about this a lot in How I Built My First List):

The first old aged question is What value do you offer?

Value, in the attraction marketing model, is your personality + "the conversation” you invoke or inspire and continually come back to, or the crowd you gather ‘round yourself, which is about the topics, and in alignment with what you enjoy (that’s your business) and doing so using the proper tools and web locations to set it all up (the mechanics of it all).

You have to take time to get familiar with these tools and web locations. You have to give yourself time to mature into these things. Depending on your level of experience, and the challenges you face assimilating to these technical aspects, it can take months.

How Does this Happen, Really

(Because when you’re just getting started it’s not tangible, it’s only an idea – I know how that feels)

1.    Leveraging the News – Alignment with a Movement
•    i.e. Twitter for everyone, Renegade Professional for me, you'll notice it's MLM Traffic Formula for Ferny and Ray or PPC Domination for Joe O'Day, or the various somethings in your field of expertise.

2.    Providing constant and consistent value to your audience and growing that audience outward.
•    i.e. take little opportunities to gain traction (like water freezing into ice in a crack in the road and by spring time that pothole is engulfing the whole front end of your car.

3.    Choosing a couple locations (not spread out all over the place) to set up your marketing. Choose your favorites and play to your strengths.
•    i.e. when I first started, it was easier for me to write my thoughts than get in front the camera so I focused Hubpages and Squidoo. Video came later.

4.    Set up a centralized main location where you always bring people to build, maintain and add to the value relationship (this is also where you harvest your leads)
•    i.e. capture form, some way to collect leads. At centralized hub (blog), must play on a theme to brand yourself as an expert in that area.

5.    When you collect a lead, you give something away in exchange, and if it’s not something physical (i.e. like a download, or free give-away, it's the promise that you communicate, and can deliver upon)
•    You can also do this with other people’s stuff. i.e. play up the fact that when people join your newsletter they'll also receive something from one of your mentors (like Mike Dillard or Mike Klingler).

6.    OPTIONAL, but smart – you make money on your leads by getting to know (or already knowing) your leads. Stick with a small menu of similarly related monetization products that are congruent with your message.
•    When people make a low ticket purchase from you, and the transaction is successful, and you add-on your personal touch value, you’ve gained HUGE trust, and that could, literally, pay you when you introduce a bigger ticket offer or your business to them.

Money is made when you can combine all the above things.

•    Notice that not once did I mention anything about “the business.” Not everyone feels the same about this, but I feel you must earn the right to present your primary business after you give. You have to give to earn a take. That’s the Law of the Universe.

•    Money is also made when you develop a skill and offer those skills to others.

•    Money is made when you do these things consistently over time, generally not right away.

•    Although, when you align with a movement, i.e. Leverage the News, and identify a gap or need in that movement, you can generate substantial monetary growth. What are the “movements” in your area of interest? Now, whatever they are, add value to it.

Ok, so let's look at what this actually looks like on the internet?

This is typical of what you would do, not necessarily in this order.

•    You’ve made a Youtube video.

•    You’ve written your message from your Youtube video into a Squidoo Lens

•    You’ve embedded the Youtube video into your Squidoo Lens

•    You’ve written a related article at your Blog or Website i.e. Central Hub

•    You’ve optimized each of the aforementioned with proper keyword research

•    From your blog or website, or in some cases from your actual secondary content, you link to a capture page where people can receive your email updates.

•    You continue to send valuable information. You connect on a more personal basis. This can be done by calling your leads. In some cases, they will call you.

•    You introduce your products, services and business.

Let's get more familiar with this process.

•    Attract prospects to your hub from secondary social media locations by giving value or being "found" attractive on the front end, or even more simply, people begin to find your hub first without having to create a lot of secondary content.

•    Engage these visitors with lots of value. Demonstrate that you've built an audience, or if you don’t have an audience, demonstrate that you understand how to engage in "the conversations."  Or you can create these conversations. (That’s what this is all about – NETWORKING). This will get you acknowledgment, and when you're acknowledged, you're beginning to build your reputation or "brand"

Question. What is going to validate you as someone who can really help?

Answer
. Deep value.

What is "deep value" ... deep value is making this realization … if you're not solving people's problems or giving them what THEY want, you're not in business. This is why you see people who've been at this internet attraction marketing thing for so long, haven't gotten any results.

You have to figure out:

1). what you love i.e. what you want your business to be, and

2) How you can make that your business – in this case, the term "business" is giving people what they want.

Personal and Monetary Success comes down to what Mike Klingler always says,
“A balance of training + consistent action = predictable and measurable success over time.”
