Question Internet Marketing Authority. Is It A Solution or A Cash Grab?

Why do people blindly trust? I don’t know why, but it happens everyday. Things are said and claims are made, without being checked for being truthful, or even common sense! This happens in every day life and in our businesses.

I was floored by a story I read online about an airport in China being shut down because a UFO, or something unexplainable, was spotted about 2 ½ miles from the airport. They shut down the airport for safety reasons. Soon thereafter, the airport was reopened and an explanation for the UFO was given. The UFO was a result of ‘military exercises’ in the area. If that isn’t bad enough, the same airport was shut down eight times since June for other alleged UFO sightings, only to be explained off with the similar ‘military exercise’ excuse.

Are you scratching your head yet? Let me add one more bit of craziness to the story. One sighting was said to have been missile testing. Missile Testing?! Two and a half miles from an airport?!

Any person using their noodle would have questioned this crap already. Word of China’s loose and cheap labor has reached outer space, or maybe, you may not want to fly into this airport for the possibility your plane will get mixed up in a military exercise taking place right next to the frickin’ airport! Either way, if it is a UFO or military exercises, the real question is, why the hell would anyone use this airport?

Okay, point taken. This is ridiculous on many levels. The problem is many people fall for similar crap online everyday. On Facebook, I, like you, endure many SPAM messages inviting us to become rich like them. One in particular said this, “an investment of $25 will get you a return of 19,000 a month! No selling, no recruiting. If this sounds good to you send me a message.” Most people can see through this for what it is. Some can’t, and wonder where their money is after they pay $25 to join.

There are others that are little harder to pick out. Recently, in a forum I participate in, James Stein, a fellow regular in the forum, pointed out a launch done by a fairly prominent marketer. Needless to say the salesletter was professional. It had all the normal bells and whistles that a big launch would have. If you were too lazy to actually absorb what you read, and get influenced by the glitz, claims and hype, you may have missed the obvious question.

This system claims to be able to get 800,000 visitors for you and bank $540,000 in a short period of time. Whoa! Sign me up right? Stop and ask yourself why someone would sell this ‘system’ if it did what it claims? If you were to sell it, how much would you charge? Well this guy was charging…wait for it, wait for it, TaDaaa $37! Bullshit Alert! Quick grab a shovel and a ladder!

May I offer a piece of advice? Find someone who is providing real ‘how to’ solutions. Preferably one at a time. The temptation is to believe a system will make us a ton of money. Well guess what. If you haven’t learned how to set up a blog, what makes you think you will be able to implement this system? It’s like a person taking flying lessons for a hobby and expecting to be able to pilot the space shuttle.

Question authority. Use your head when making decisions on who you will follow and possibly buy products and/or services from.

P.S. Don’t fly into that airport in China either
