In my article ' Are you underemployed' I spoke about one of the trends that is happening right now, that should help you create an internet lifestyle.

This article called Reasons newbies need to start an internet lifestyle, is to do with massive online buying that is happening, and again should add some more fuel to that fire, as there has been a 15% year over year increase in online spending.

Did yo know this little fact?

Over 10 million people bought online on Cyber Monday, taking the previous record, hoisting it up in the air and then shouting FIRE, calmly aiming the sawn of  shot gun and smashing that record to pieces. The average online buyer conducted 1.9 million online transactions on Cyber Monday making the cash registers ring to the tune of $125 BILLION. Not bad ehh?

On November the 28th, 2011, according to comscore.com (the global leader in digital business analytics) recorded a new spending record. For the first time in 2011 there were 3 consecutive days with over $1 BILLION being rung through the online cash registers. That whopping figure contributed to the year over year increase of 15%.

Cyber Monday saw $1.25 Billion, the Tuesday after saw $1.12 Billion, and the Wednesday of the same week then saw $1.03 Billion.

Naturally these 3 Billion dollar days take up the 4 heaviest days in online spending ..in history!!

Not sure about you my friend but if I read between the lines I am coming to the conclusion that people are comfortable buying things online. Things like books, clothes, flowers, flights and everything in between.

Emarketer.com have got our online spending  projections for 2012 coming in at 14.4%, so I think it might be fair to say that there is no sign of this trend going backwards or even stopping.

You might be thinking 'What the heck have you been smoking Shiraz, to come out with these figures, as we are in an economic recession?'

Well my friend let me address these points. First things first, and I stopped smoking 2 years ago so now my thoughts are not 'so far out there' anymore (or so my wife says),  second thing is that this surge of billions being spent online is simply a shift of money being spent in traditional brick and mortar business and being transferred to the net. That's why most small town centers now look like derelict ghost towns as more and more shops are being boarded up with closed signs plastered all over them.

Now if you know me, even though I have a University degree, you will know I don't claim to be the next Oxford University applicant, but even I can see what a fantastic opportunity that has been created in this economic recession. This global trend is poised to help you create your own internet lifestyle.
