Are you aware that there are many healthy snacks that you can make in a flash for your midday snack? The easiest snacks to make are those that are made from things that you already have in your cabinets right now.

If you buy cottage cheese on a regular basis, then why not have some on a daily basis? Cottage cheese is loaded with healthy fats, so it’s not a bad idea to eat it often. In fact, if you would like, you can eat it up to two times a day, and you will also get your calcium intake too. Did you know that cottage cheese is also full of protein? This makes cottage cheese a good choice for healthy snacks, and you can even add fruit to it which makes it even better.  Carrots are a good snack anytime.  If you like celery, that also works well with cottage cheese, and it helps balance your acid/alkaline levels to be more alkaline which can be a huge benefit for people with arthritis, gout, and related problems.

If you need healthy snacks that you can take anywhere and put into your briefcase, then try soy nuts. They are small, low fat and tasty too!  Also, combining a fat, such as any of the raw nuts, with a vegetable or fruit can make for satisfying healthy snacks.

Healthy Snacks for the Evening

Are you looking for healthy snacks that you and your family can enjoy in the evening? How about something that you eat that won’t give you energy and get you revved up, but will help you sleep? I have some great suggestions for you, and you just might be surprised at how good they really are.

You can slice up apples and add organic peanut butter or almond butter as well for healthy snacks. These butters in the organic form are much better because they are not made with refined sugars, and if they do have sugar in them the sugars are made from real cane sugar instead. You will find that these butters have the healthiest fats as well, and they are almost like having a healthy dessert!

Healthy Snacks for Holidays

Many times, the holidays leave you wanting something that is tasty, but it’s hard to get around the sweet! So, during the winter and holiday season what do you do? You can easily enjoy almonds, walnuts, and pistachios simply because they are packed with healthy fats, and they are high in proteins rather than carbs. Pistachios have the lowest fat content and calorie content of any nut, making it a great option. Even if you see someone adding these to desserts, you can enjoy them by adding spices like cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and many more!

There are plenty of healthy snacks out there to enjoy, and even if you just enjoy fruits and vegetables, then eat them whole!
