Inside A Marketers Mind

We are not born with a manual or guidebook that provides explicit instructions, and rules for thoughts and behaviors that will enable us to navigate through life successfully with laser precision. To cope with the myriad of complexities to which all humanity is subject, we each develop a set of habits and routines that ground us, their simple continuity assuring us that life is progressing normally. Hence, the mindset of the employee, who has worked most of his or her adult life and suddenly find themselves at a junction where reality meets, misguided tradition. Their world is turned upside down. The core beliefs that once dominated their entire existence is now challenged with a changing world in which they find themselves lost like a child alone, in a dark uncomfortable place.

Sometimes when I write, I have to add that touch of personal belief that says, HEY! Who the heck do you think you are? Making people think about the things that they don’t want to think about. I know, because I’ve been there and done that. I see the frustration and chaos that good people are faced with in these hard times, and that they are stuck and have no way to turn except inwardly. I watch the defeated faces of the people who have lost so much, especially the dreams they once dream. So many are moving through life unaware of the presence of the mindset they are in. And, I wonder, can I make a difference in empowering them to move out of their comfort zone that is no longer comfortable by any definition. How do I awaken their imaginative minds? The talents that intrigues me the most are oftentimes the ones that seems to exist just outside of my grasp, but I reach endlessly, even though I know for a fact that most people who are facing these dire straights are all capable of mastering new skillsets. Life sometimes intervene in our best laid plans, and it is so easy to sacrifice your dream when facing all the unrelated obligations like debt, and a going nowhere job that you hate. Many may also feel that they are too set in their ways to absorb fresh skills or that doing so would ultimately prove a valueless undertaking.

An elderly lady from Ohio who somehow got a copy of one of my old paper newsletter(from a lifetime ago) gave me a call several weeks ago and ask if I would be so kind as to recommend to her the number 1 online business opportunity? You see, she just turned 74 and her social security and pensions are very minuscule. She said she was willing to learn whatever was necessary to make it. I was fascinated because she’s never owned a computer, and has never seen the internet in her life. But just the raw courage that exhibited was what makes me love what I do. After working in a print shop 47 years, she became willing to make that drastic change in her life. People like her are my heroes. Inspiration is an intangible yet inseparable part, of who we really are, and it reinstates the Why in our lives, and the Whys justify the How.

People who do not succeed have one distinguishing trait in common; They know all the reasons for failure. The world only wants to know one thing...how to achieve success.

So for those of you, who are looking for a change in your life, and the whys are your strengths, then seek the knowledge that will move you forward in realizing the dreams that you once had.
