How to Use Articles to Attract Targeted Traffic to You and Brand Yourself as An Expert...

This article is an extention of a post I put on my blog. In it I asked the question I hear quite often. "What can I write about? I don't know that much."

When you're just starting out, a natural thought is, you do not feel like an authority in anything. So you ask, "How do I write articles when I don't know enough about the subject?

The answer is "Just the Opposite!" You have a lot more to write about as newbie than a veteran to some extent. Here's why; anything you are learning can be committed to paper.

This is much like a school paper.

In the post on my blog, I said that I learned a valuable lesson that I failed to learn at first. Here it is;

  1. Learn a strategy
  2. Implement that strategy you just learned
  3. Teach the strategy to someone else

Some areas where you may find plenty to write about are:

- How does your network marketing program work, and what can you share about it that you've learned (personally - Not your upline speaking for you)

- How you solved a problem you were having in building your home business

- New things you've learned, and your thoughts and tips on how you've implemented them into your business.

- Your views and opinions in your area of interest

- Resources that you have found that have worked well for you (You could earn a commission on those resources as an affiliate)

- You could (and should) document your experiences online that could be valuable for someone else to learn with step by step instruction

By covering various topics in these areas you will begin to establish yourself as an authority in your area of interest. These are just ideas though; you can keep it as targeted as you want, or feel comfortable with.

A great way to find out what your target market needs is; go to google and type "your keyword" into the search with the word forum after it.

For example, For "Internet Marketing" visit Internet marketing related forums (e.g. Warriorforum). Pay attention to what questions people are asking. Make those questions your assigned topics to write about.

It's important to do the necessary research (if you don't already know the answer) and document your findings and conclusions.

Since the same questions are asked over and over again by different people, you will find that you will have more opportunities to share your findings at a later time. The more people you help, the more you will attract success to you.

Still another specific way to find what to write about is to read what other people have written. Then, write your own veiwpoint of the same content in your own words. Don't highjack their work and not provide value. Just use the conent as a guide and add your own value to it. I will be posting more on article marketing in the near future here on BetterNetworker.com

Articles are not hard to write. The people that say writing articles is hard 9 times out of 10 are really just lazy and making excuses. Don't be mad at me; I know I'm right, I was one of them. Listen, writing articles can be time consuming but they work, so just suck it up and write the articles.

We are all very opinionated and we all have our own point of view, so make it fun and be you.

I hope you have found these tips useful. If so please leave me a comment and let me know. Or if you have a question, or something of value you can add I'd love to hear it.

Sharing is Caring, share this on Facebook, and tweet this. Your friends and followers will thank you. And I thank you in advance.

Fantastic ideas

Thanks for the great tips and where to get good ideas from. This is one area I really enjoy doing but have struggled to think of subjects to write about. Never thought of checking out the forums to see what questions people are asking. Thanks once again.

I'm glad to help my friends

I'm glad to help my friends. They are tips and strategies I'm using or have used as I learn them. The forums are kind of new to me as well, so as I develop more of a presence and learn more of the in's and out's I'll share them. As stated before, I believe Action is the biggest key. I personally played around and was lazy for far too long. 2010 is my breakout year. And I want to help as many as I can do the same.

Thanks for the support,
Joe Remington

Nicholas Wind

Simple ,easy idea Joe.
I started my 2nd blog 2 months ago after I practised so to speak with my 1st blog which I started to "try" blogging.
Dillard said it's a way to get leads and he is right.
Now I don't know how a business can function without a blog.
My 2nd blog was proffesionaly done ie. Key word research, the proper plugins as per Jack Humphrey of BlogSuccess where I still learn much... and a lot of thought put in to it.
It is screeming up the rankings also.
Now Joe is right on when he talks about learn,do ,then teach what you learned.

I also want to say that now since I have cracked the code to MAKE$ online that forum and blog commenting are very underrated.
Now if you are new or don't MAKE$ yet really read this over and learn it.
Here's what my 7 figure mentor taught me and where he started out also. He still does this sometimes too.
I daily spend 30 minutes in forums and 30 minutes commenting on blogs that are pr3's and up.
Make sure you go in with a purpose. I do 2-3 commnets on 2-3 forums daily and 2-3 comments on 2-3 pr3 blogs daily and above.
It's very easy to find highly ranked blogs.
Start by commenting on Dillard's blog.
That one I go to regularily.

The blogs do not have to be in your niche.
Piggy backing on giants is what it is.

With forums I go to 3 big ones .One is what Joe mentioned..The Warrior Forum and 2 other ones in my niche.
So do as Joe says which is watch what folks are asking and help them. Understand folks.... 95% are still broke and need answers. There is also 79 million folks monthly coming online globally. Do you think they need help?
They are lost in the noise and confusion of the internet and under the gun of really good copy writers that know how to suck them in because they ARE NOT FOCUSED. Too many shinny trinkets online to look at.
I know....many are looking for THAT ONE SYSTEM to make them wealthy or that ONE AD they can put out to make them rich or that one whatever.Sorry no such thing people.
Read Magnetic sponsoring again. Let Mike smack you in the head.
As we all know most people are not patient either so they feel the need to have to continuely vomit their opportunities on all of us that follow the rules. The ones that follow the rules are a smaller percentage though I think.
If you do this DON'T WORRY ABOUT GETTING YOUR LINKS IN.
Just sign up and put up a sig file with your info.
Help and add value ,help and add value.

Think about your answers like I am with this one. Be positive, enthusiastic, don't whine and complain that you don't MAKE$ yet and you have been at it for...you know 10 weeks or 1 year or 4 months and you're not wealthy yet.
Man I see this a lot.
This will do the opposite of what you want.It repells folks.
To attract folks use the 3 e's..educate..enlighten..entertain.

Now doing this daily your information which is permanent stays there and if done as I said you get 2 good things out of iT.
1. targeted leads eventually
2. you are speading yourself out online with good content.
Remeber the internet is about CONTENT SYNDICATION.

Now after 2 years of head down and bum up building out online you can google my name and see where I've commented everywhere.

I hope this helps some folks.

Thanks for your thoughts

Thanks for your thoughts my friends. Wow, that is quite a comment Nicholas. Good additions. I should be putting another article up soon, I've been really busy lately.

Great

You are so right! Often we learn a strategy but we don't implement and we definitely don't teach what we just learned. By doing this we not only grow but help others grow as well.
