What are Contextual Backlinks and Why They Are Important in Your Article Marketing
What are Contextual Backlinks and how can you use them in your article marketing?
By now you understand that you need to build backlinks to your blog, so that the search engines would recognize your content more worthy for their searchers.
Contextual backlinks simply means choosing several words or keyword phrases that pertain to your article and link them with 2 or 3 other content pieces or websites. This creates a web of links that make your blog very valuable to search engines.
Here are a couple of tips on using contextual backlinks within your article:
1. Use maximum of three backlinks within the article. Two in the body of the article and one in the resource box is best.
2. Link one of them to your home page and the other to another one of your pages deeper within your site. Or to another url altogether.
Image, audio and video links do not count as backlinks, they are seen as content by the search engines. If you really need more than three links then just write another article.
Getting current and accurate data on your backlinks is getting more and more difficult. But if you trust the process and follow the steps above, you will see that the search engines with keep indexing your content and giving it good value.
