WIGS, NO NOTHINGS, DEMOCRATS
As our 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, came through the ranks of failing six times before becoming President. Taking a strong look his background and the Town of Springfield, IL where he lived during his small steps to success. I can not over look some of the obvious thing he overcame. We will only go into some small points in this article.
The parties of that time.
WIGS: Against Slavery, Ultraconservative politicians (President Lincoln was a WIG)
NO NOTHINGS: Split the fence group of politicians (Could change like the wind)
DEMOCRATS: For Slavery, ownership of people..
This was the break down of these representation parties back in 1853 to 1861 before the Democrat and Republican party became as we know it today.
After reading
Think and Grow Rich, By Napoleon Hill, Chapter 15 brings out some traits that our 16th President may have experienced.
The fear of POVERTY
The fear of CRITICISM
The fear of ILL HEALTH
The fear of LOSS OF LOVE OF SOMEONE
The fear of OLD AGE
The fear of DEATH.
There is a 3 headed monster that we come in contact with during our everyday life or our business life as we are about to dive into now: You ask what is this monster? Mr Hill brings this point out very well:
The Killers: INDECISION --- This a paralyzes 90% of all people (Deer In Headlight Syndrome)
DOUBT -------------This grips the mind like a vise squeezing off whatever inspiration of greatest you have been put on this earth for.
FEAR----------------- Oh no if I talk to people I may succeed what would people think. So I will do nothing. Fear!!!
President Lincoln I am sure had all of these filling and pressures on this life journey...
In Chapter 15 Mr Hill brings out a statement that put things into perspective: FEARS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN STATES OF MIND!!! This can be changed.
He ask why does a doctor who sees all kind patients with every disease NOT GET SICK... In his or her mind they have activated the ultimate immune system the MIND!!! I am here to heal not get sick so bring it on...
So how does this lineup with marketing.... You can train the mind through steps of reading, hanging around people moving forward and becoming humble enough to say I don't know everything. Please coach me and mentor me for I to wish to be a leader.

Great analogy!
Very interesting post... I especially like the "3-headed monster" analogy for: indecision, doubt, and fear. They certainly ARE devastating to us in ALL areas of our lives, but they are most visible, I think, when they rear their ugly heads in our business/work life. Thank you, Danny, for a wonderful article :-D
