Working at Home
...has been an amazing opportunity for me. I have actually had the blessing of working at home now for, oh my, I guess it's been 13 years. I have a small traditional business. I was introduced to the network marketing industry and loved the idea of leveraging my efforts. With so many all doing a little bit and all benefiting from it, that is an amazing way to do business. Everyone helping everyone. If corporate America worked that way....... :-)
The other thing about a network marketing business is that if, God forbid, anything happens to you, your business continues. Because of the others in your team, it can continue until you are ready to return. In a traditional business such as mine, if I get hurt and can't work, I have no income. In network marketing, not so. It's a back up plan for me, before I need one. Plus, having a bit of fun along the way doesn't hurt.

So Misunderstood - Leverage

If everyone understood the meaning of the word "leverage", everyone would be a network marketer, especially with the opportunities available today which are giving "network marketing" a new face through "attraction marketing".
The old reasons of hating cold calls, or running after friends and family no longer hold true as reasons to avoid this type of business.

Just today on CNN's HLN, Clark Howard had a segment on the happiest people in the workplace. Those happy people are people like us, working for ourselves or creating our businesses online, people creating an income through a passion or other expertises.
I can't imagine doing anything else while in retirement sharing and growing my business online. The training through Renegade Professional gives us the ability to take any type of business and put it online and make a living.

For 12 years now, I have had an MLM business. My family and I have benefitted hugely from owning our own business. It needs to be said that there is hard work, a commitment to move forward in the lean times as well as the good times.

When you say... "No home business will make you a millionaire overnight." I know you are referring to cash in your pocket and you are absolutely correct about that (and if anyone tells you different RUN AWAY)...
However, I felt like a millionaire the minute I made the decision to work from home instead of seeking a JOB after my husband left my daughter and me. It was like a huge load was lifted off my shoulders. I could stay home with her... continue to homeschool her AND build something that would not only take care of me during my lifetime but potentially my daughter and her children as well.
Yep, I PLAY all day every day and laugh all the way to the Bank!

Rallie, you’re exactly right. Since our jobs and 401K plans are not secure, we must take steps to gain control of our lives. Starting a home business is a great way to do this.
But to be successful, we must dedicate ourselves to getting the best internet marketing training available, gain the respect of our prospects, and demonstrate that we are the leaders that can help them.

Without being passionate about whatever you are doing success will be hard to find. Working from home has its challenges - but it has many freedoms as well. In this economy being your own boss is the only source of security there is. Nobody is going to lay you off - but you need to have passion for your work or it will be hard to find the motivation to continue. Passion is the secret.

This is great, Rallie. Having been one of those who were "down-sized" during our recent economic hiccup, I realized the only true financial security is the one we can build for ourselves with our own business. Building a team of like-minded folks who have a passion for what they do makes business a pleasure. Doesn't get any better than that.

Network marketing has received a bad reputation from all the desperate marketers who know very little about attraction marketing. However, the big boys including people like Warren Buffet are involved in it and recommend it as a great business model. Can't be all that bad when one of the richest men on the planet suport it!
