You’ve heard this before, right? From our parents when we were growing up. We wanted to get big so fast, so we could do the things we weren’t allowed to do. (like stay up passed 9)

But, just like any kid growing up, we didn’t believe it. It didn’t make any sense because we couldn’t see it, or feel it.

Well, the point of this post is to tell you that:

I read a guest post by Srinivas on Jean’s blog yesterday that really got me thinking. It was about creating quarterly reports to track your blog’s growth. Not only did he break down how he does it, he also mentioned something really interesting.

He said that there’s no reason to look at your traffic stats in the first 3 months of blogging because you still don’t have enough information to determine anything, yet.

…and he’s right! But, it’s hard…

I find myself looking at my stats 2 to 4 times a day and it kills me. It kills my productivity. The reason I bring that up is because I know most you do it, too (..c’mon, be honest) - But why?............
