3 Quick And Easy Way To Generate Free Web Traffic To Your Blog…

Ok…I’m going to say this — a blog without having any traffic is a blog that is destine to fail if you don’t do anything to change it.

Good news! I’m going to share with you on how to change it now and for good.

If you’ve just started your first blog, don’t make the mistake of worrying too much at first about how many leads or sales you’re going to get. Instead, focus on how to drive traffic to your blog. Because with targeted traffic you get leads and sales.

There are different ways of generating traffic on the Internet to your blog. I’m always a fan of free methods.

Here are 3 easy methods that you can implement right after reading this post:

  1. Article marketing – You research and write original articles that are posted on free article directories. You drive traffic to your web site by including links in the Biography or Resource Box of each article. This is the most used method of free traffic generation, it’s simple, effective, and no money is required to get started.
     
  2. Social bookmarking and Web 2.0 – this is using posts on Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc., to drive traffic to your web site. This is becoming very popular.
     
  3. Forum Posting – there are forums online for just about any niche you can think of – go to Google and search for “yourniche+forum” and see how many are returned. Check these forums out, find a couple of good ones and join them. Introduce yourself, then slowly post helpful information to questions. In your signature you’ll put links to your web site or products for other forum members to click.

You’ll notice that PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising is not listed above, even though it’s a  popular and powerful method of driving traffic to a website/blog quickly. PPC advertising is an effective way to drive traffic quickly, but it’s tricky and has a fairly learning curve.

It does require for you to have at least a small budget to get started. Which is why it’s not included in our list of free traffic generation methods. However, it is a very powerful way to generate traffic. This is another post…

If you are just starting out, you’ll want to pick one or two of the above free traffic methods and concentrate on learning how to use them effectively every day. Each method has it’s benefits and a small learning curve. Once you have a feel for what you’re doing stay consistent because these methods work extremely well at generating traffic.

I use all 3 methods and they work great. The only thing I can add is that they can take longer than paid traffic to generate leads and sales.

Actually, one more thing I’m testing out is when I comment on blog posts, I try to include a link to a relevant post on my site.

Yes, it does take longer. However, for someone starting out with no budget it is great to start implementing something productive. It will generate traffic.
