Plus, I’ll be sharing 2 simple tips that will help your brand get noticed wherever your prospect sees it.
After reading this post (and after leaving me a cool comment), you’ll be crazy about branding, trust me. :0)
7 Reasons Why You Should Build A Brand
#1. No Competition
No competition? Yup. ZERO! Zippo! Nada! – Building a business around yourself is the best way to eliminate any potential competitor. Think about it. Everyone is different, unique and special in their own way. (sounds corny, but it’s true).
There are certain people who will resonate with what I have to say and my style of saying it, and they’ll be magnetically attracted to me as oppose to someone else in the Business & Blog Marketing arena. Because people do business with people, there will never be just ONE guy/gal who can appeal to everyone. And he/she who tries to appeal to everyone, will FAIL!
#2. Creates Trust
A strong personal brand creates trust. Pepsi, Coke, Bounty, and Tide all do a very good job of making you feel good about their brand with their Tv commercials. Even though they spend millions of dollars on their brand marketing campaigns, you can do the same (if not more) using the power of social media.
With things like Twitter, Facebook, and even your blog, you can now show that there’s a real person behind your business, that interacts with them and cares about them. Creating this trusting relationship only fuels the Brand and your influence in your market.
#3. Builds Name Recognition
Branding makes you, and your business, memorable; and memorable is good, in most cases. You don’t want to be remembered as a pushy salesman, right? This is why you need to do everything you can to create a brand that your market will like and trust.
I’ll share how a brand becomes easily recognized at the the end of the post.
#4. Command Premium Pricing
This is by far my favorite reason why we should all be building a strong personal brand. The more people know who you are, value your opinion, and trust your message, the more you can charge. It’s as simple as that.
You’re no longer just another wordpress blog, you’re now a valuable source and people will value your time and expertise a lot more.
#5. Increase Influence In The Market
Influence is another great benefit of brand building. The simple act of persistence and consistency with your brand’s message will be enough to create a sense of authority in your brand.
If you position yourself and your brand intelligently, and the amount of influence you now have will increase.
#6. Loyal Customers
I buy Acuvue 2 contacts. I’ve always bought Acuvue and I will probably always buy them (if I don’t get Lasek, I’d appreciate some advice on this if you’re gotten this done, thanks)
Anyways. Acuvue has a strong brand and is a trustworthy company in my eyes (no pun intended), which is probably the reason why I’ve become their loyal customer. Dailies, Night & Day and AquaClear come in second place.
#7. Long Term Commitment
If you’re still not convinced that you should work towards building a strong personal brand, this might help – you’ll be a lot more committed to your success. Because you’re putting yourself out there, and getting noticed, there’s little chance of you ever quitting.
You now have a much more deeper and stronger incentive to keep motivated -and that’s what I like to call Market Accountability. Your audience will come to expect things from you, like: Blog posts, Training, Support, Products and Services. Not doing these things will definitely hurt your brand and your business in the long term.
The fear of losing everything that I’ve worked so hard to gain is a good motivator, and I’m sure that’ll keep you going, too.
The 2 Simple Tips To Building A Strong Brand
Tip #1 – Be Everywhere..
Guest posting, Twitter Conversations, Facebook Tribes, Forum Discussions, Community Sites… the list goes on and on.
It sounds simple and obvious, but this is what works. Of course you can spend thousands of dollars sending out solo ads and Facebook ads and get in front of thousands of people; but there’s no need to spend thousands when you can literally build your following and your brand for free.
Tip #2 – Be Consistent With Your Brand..
It’s tempting to change your picture on Facebook or Twitter every now and then, but I suggest you don’t. There needs to be some type of consistency between platforms so that your market knows who you are wherever they come in contact with you.
This also applied to the colors you use. and Yes, it does help.
