Blogging to Marketing Success: Contribute, Chat and Share in Cyberspace
In the field of internet marketing there are several different traffic generation sectors, all devoted to connecting your prospects to your advertisements and websites. Because of the fact that the internet is getting bigger each and every day (with millions and millions of users ) it can be easy to get lost in cyberspace. With an effective internet marketing strategy consisting of article marketing, SEO, social marketing, linking and various other traffic generation methods, you can stand out in the cyber crowd and get the prospects you want by effective use of your blog.
Although it’s important to incorporate various methods of traffic generation ideas into your web marketing strategy, one of the best (and easiest) ways to get noticed on the net is with blogging. Blogging has hit the net with a bang. Blogging allows everyone to put in their two cents and live their writing dream. Because of this, more and more people are turning to blogs for information.
Internet Marketers can take advantage of this by joining in the blogging revolution. A blog can and should be a major part of your marketing plan. By making your blog a centerpiece of your web presence along with your website, you can direct prospects back to it from your many other advertising fingers. Also by contributing to forums and commenting on other blogs, you will be able to direct additional traffic to your blog and website. Blogging is really an excellent free way to connect to your customers and prospects on a very personal level.
Here’s how:
In order to gain the trust and respect of your prospective clients, you need to participate in the blogging community. Make friends with other bloggers who write about your interest. Ask them to discuss your website (or products) in exchange for a link. In the blogging world, it is all about friendship and altruism. Scratch their back; they will do the same for you.
· You will need to look for forums and blogging sites that are in your area of interest and then comment on what has been said. Offer a little tidbit of information or advice and a link to your website. Those reading the blog will most likely continue to read the comments, and, if you have captured their interest, they will most likely click the link to your blog.
· When it comes to creating a blog, you do not have to spend hours and hours thinking about information. Make your blog informative yet short and sweet. Take some time to thing of things that would be of interest to your prospects and your customers and write about them in an interesting way. Make sure you stay away from hard selling of your products. Keep it informational. Offer advice, best of lists and other entertaining content. To really gain a traffic following and customer base, write about something that may be controversial or new to the World Wide Web and invite feedback. Stay informed on the news and then link any relative information back to your blog.
· It’s important that you blog and contribute often. Set aside a time every day (or every week) to browse the net, contributing to forums and other blogs, adding links and putting in your own two cents. If you don’t, you could get left behind.
· Your Blog or a part of it can obtain high ranking on Google or other search engines with proper search engine optimazation, bringing substantial increased traffic to your blog and anything on it.
· There are several good blogging formats. Blogger, Squarespace, Wordpress are some. Find the one that suits you and get started. Look for some good internet business training and if you think you might need a little help check out Renegade University and Renegade Professional News

Short and Sweet
I like David, that blog entries can be short and sweet. Sometimes I get drawn into the net of having to create an essay, or something so time consuming....that nothing happens.
Sometimes, I write a lot from my heart. That, I think, has me getting things done faster.
Blogging is about two-way communication. No time for TV! Time is much better spent in relationship.
Thanks for a great post
Writing Dream
Hi David,
I think most of us have dreamed of writing a book or something that gets discovered and makes it big. This of the Harry Potter series. Great story behind that success! Of course, writing a book takes a lot of time and energy and it's all in the hope of it being a big hit.
Blogging, on the other hand can be done over time, fit into an already crazy schedule. It can make it big by being "real". Keeping it like a conversation with someone sitting down with you over a cup of coffee. You are talking with them about such and such and it is conversational. Not selling.
Anyway, blogging, great article about it and a fun way to communicate.
Blogging for your marketing
Hi David,
Blogging has become such an essential tool in today's marketing plans. Learning how to invite people in to see what is going on in a non-pitchy atmosphere is a great beginning for blogger's, being real and informative.
Always a work in progress or a diary of thoughts. People begin to know you and follow you.
Yes blogs can be a work in progress and a powerful tool. You have explained all that so well.
Blogging is crucial
Hey David,
Short and sweet is becoming more of the norm on the Internet. Google isn't liking long sales pages anymore but short lead capture pages.
When you think about it, attention spans are decreasing because of the internet so expecting that anything that is lengthy will be read is unrealistic today.
Advice To Focus On
Really good points David. I especially like the part where you advise bloggers to participate in other people's blogs.
That is a large part of attraction marketing and many bloggers are too focused on just their content. It's like having tunnel vision.
However, if what you comment on brings value, you will surely be increasing your click through rates.
Good Advice
David, I really enjoy my blog(s). It's all mine and very personal to me. I am glad that part of ownership should include socializing with other blog owners and working together to improve traffic. It adds a collaborative element to just blogging all by yourself. I think it's important to have a place where you can express yourself and my blog is that place. Your tips help blogs become more effective, and bring traffic to benefit from all our hard work.
People fear writing
but they should not. Blogging gives on the chance to create interest in their product or service while improving the bloggers communication skills. Whose business would not benefit from better communication? I would think everyone can improve in this area.
Post Often
David: really enjoyed your article - I think the keypoint you made was to post often (naturally with value content). With RSS everytime you post the serch engines will make note of your fresh content.
Your Central Hub
Hi David your absolutely correct great article, having a blog has become essential these days not only for online business owners but for traditional bricks and mortar business owners as well.
Your blog should be your central point of all your online marketing activities it's also a great way to brand yourself. Buy providing relevant and fresh content on a consistent basis blogging can be a great way to build your business.
Blogging is a Marketing Tool
Like all our marketing effort, blogging is one of the tool we must master, and use correctly.
I agree our articles should be short, and to the point. I see more and more blogs using videos with little text on the topic. I think is goes to what Dianne said about attention spans, people don't like reading long articles, but will watch a video.
The Centerpiece of Your Marketing.
Great article, David. I agree with you 100%. A blog can be the centerpiece of one's marketing strategy.
You can brand yourself on your blog, provide value, and build relationships and trust without even talking with your prospect. You can offer products for sale without being promotional. I feel that is what people are looking for.
Grand Central Station...
David,
Excellent piece of content.
Blogging is the grand central station when it comes to your market place in cyber. And learning how market your station can put you on a rostrum of its own.
Thanks David,
