Blokube: Be There or Be Square!

Wanna hang out with the best bloggers in your niche? Then you’ve got to be on Blokube.

Believe it or not, but we humans are herd animals. (I hope you don’t take offense at the word  “animal.”)

Blokube was founded in late 2010 by Devesh, a very talented 17 year old high school student from India. It is quickly gaining popularity within the blogoshere and as an authority site ranks very well on Google.  It’s a blogging community, a place where the coolest bloggers on the internet hang out, mastermind, network, interact and vote on each other’s content.

Personal Profile – After you register, you can set up your profile which you can easily edit/update any time. Make sure you include your picture as this helps with branding yourself. Blokube uses Gravatar.com to show your avatar. If you don’t have an account at Gravatar.com yet you can get a free account here.

Easy “Submit Your Story” feature – You can easily submit your story with just a few clicks. Just copy the URL of the story into the “Submit Story” tab in the sidebar. The system will automatically ask you to log in. (You can also install a submit button on your blog.)

The Blokube system will then automatically insert all meta data from the post saving you time doing this manually. I especially love the new feature where Blokube retrieves thumbnail images from your story for you to select, (or you can choose your own,) but I find this to be a great time-saver.

Topics include Blogging, Business, Marketing, SEO/SEM, WordPress, LifeStyle and more.

Vote on other people’s content – Remember give and you shall receive. The law of reciprocity is a very powerful one. If you vote on other people’s content the likelihood is very high that they return the favor. The more votes your content gets the higher up you move on Blokube. You may even land on the home page amongst the “Recently Popular” content. Now how is that for social proof and exposure?

Private Messaging – You can send and receive private messages from any user you are friends with.  The system will send you an email to let you know that someone send you a PM.

Facebook-like chat – You may be familiar with the chatting feature in Facebook. Well, you can do the same thing in Blokube, but with a lot more cool features.  Such as ….Chat Rooms, File Sharing, Audio/Video Chat, Screen Sharing and more.

Let me just tell you about the “Share” feature right quick. This is  really cool!

Share – Enables you to share, save and distribute your content through Facebook, Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon and many more. WOW!

Activity Wall – Wanna keep up with your friends? You can do that through the “Activity Wall.” Share what you’re doing with your friends and followers and keep up with what they are doing as well. Reply to other people’s updates and get a discussion going. And much, much more.
