Why You Shouldn't Look to Profit with Your Blog

Blogging is all about adding value right? But also you can make tons of money with blogs. In fact one of my friends makes super huge income directly from his blog, another generates about 40 leads every single day to his blog. Which is really cool, cause these are free leads.

The thing is though, you shouldn't look to be making money from your blog.

At least in the start. The first 30-60 days is all about content. Most likely you won't have much of a readership when you first begin. And conservatively I wouldn't expect to make much money with a blog for at least a month or two. Even at the end of those months, you would probably not be making too much yet.

See, the way a blog is marketed is by readership. The more readership you have, the more retweets and Facebook shares that you will get.

Which obviously leads to more people reading your stuff. If by the 2nd month you're only at 20 views a day on average, that is okay. Look at your analytics, are they coming from direct traffic sources? (Or in other words they are typing in your URL to get to your blog directly).

If people are coming to your blog directly mostly, that means that they are a loyal reader. A loyal reader is worth 12 one-time visitors, because these are the people that will start becoming your marketing voice and force. (The syndicators!)

But in order to get those loyal readers, you need a lot of content. Content is king.

For your first 30-60 days you should be posting every single day as much content as you can to make your blog a valuable archive. After that, you can start seeing some real profits from your blog, while also having a huge marketing voice.

So get blogging!
