Do You Miss Out on Email Click-Throughs Because of This Stupid Little Thing?
See my previous post on 202 Tips To Increase Blog Traffic
Here's a little email marketing traffic conversion tip that cost me (and I bet you) many email link click-throughs, thus potential sales.
Ignorance is not a bliss in this case.
Some email clients, notably Gmail, which I primarily use for my business, will not make a link in the emails you send clickable if you have capital letters in your URL without using "www" first.
Example:
http://www.TrafficGenerationCafe.com
vs
http://TrafficGenerationCafe.com
Did you notice how I capitalized TrafficGenerationCafe? That's what I am talking about.
The second link in Gmail will not be clickable, meaning you could miss out on a huge amount of traffic conversion if you make this simple mistake.
I was doing this, and luckily a loyal subscriber pointed it out to me.
So now I'm pointing it out to you.
Lesson: Either use "www" or don't have caps in your URLs.
You are right: you don't have to comment or retweet, but would it help if I told you it would be much appreciated? :)
