Newsletters, Are They Important?
Newsletters are a great way to let your students and followers know what is happening with your business. Sharing upcoming workshops, techniques, products and news are all great reasons to send out newsletters.
A successful Creative Arts Business is all about keeping your people close, educated and ready to learn more from you. Without the students, we as teachers do not have anyone to teach. If we do not build up our clientele, we then are starting from scratch to find new students every time we teach a class (not fun).
To keep your people interested and keep reading your newsletter, it is important to keep giving and giving. If you always ask them to buy a workshop or buy a product in your newsletter, they are less likely to stay with you as a reader.
People like FREE stuff. Be generous with new techniques and ideas. I love The Cloth Paper Scissor's Newsletter. Check out this LINK to view it. They always send fun little projects, but at the same time, they also send links to buy their books and workshops.
Think of a 2 to 1 ratio when writing a newsletter. Give away 2 things, ask them to buy 1 thing. A give-away could be a technique, an idea, a training, a secret or something that your people want. Have fun with it and remember the more you give, the more you get.
Make sure you check out this next training and find out if you're spamming with your Newsletter?
