If you are like me, you love the leverage that the internet brings into building your business. However, lets not forget that the greatest organizations and wealth created in this industry came from powerful offline methods. After consulting with my mentors, 3 techniques seemed to work very well in the modern age. These techniques are shown below:
1. Prospecting on the Phone: With the advent of online marketing systems that sort and sift your prospects... Learning to prospect over the phone is an extremely valuable skill... Exceptional leaders in the field such as Tom Challan, Cedrick Harris, Brian Fanale, and others employ this powerful marketing strategy to explode their personal sponsoring, and teach their teams to do the same. If you are leading with your funded proposal system when you prospect this can become an extremely effective and lucrative strategy to learn.
If you are setting appointments through your own self-created system, learning prospecting skills will improve your posture, help you develop leadership skills, and become a better connector with everyone around you.
Bottom Line: Learning to prospect over the phone will help you to grow your business faster, help you develop relationships with potential business partners, and leaders that know, like, and trust you.
2. Voice Broadcasting: In your business, you should have a goal to have more leads than time... When this happens, you can began to outsource various aspects of your business. This is part of the process described in the E-Myth by Michael Gerber, whose primary principle of the book is to develop your business to the point where you are working on it more, than in it...
Unless you are prospecting and connecting with people for 3-5 hours per day, it is extremely time consuming to try and get back to everyone. So utilize a cool piece of technology called Voice Broadcasting to follow up for you in a more personal way than an a pre-set autoresponder message.
To use Voice Broadcasting effectively in following up and sorting your prospects, in a way that few marketers do, follow these steps:
A. For each prospect that has left their phone number, introduce yourself, and thank them in a way that they do not expect (show appreciation)
B. Edify your prospects, by congratulating them on taking action, briefly mention this is a trait of leaders, and you are busy, but will work with leaders.
C. Give an Assignment to schedule a (15 min. max) appointment, if they are serious and ready to get started.
D. Tell them that you were in the same place as them not too long ago, and solve their problem (More Leads, More Money, etc).
E. Thank them again for their time, and leave your contact information (Office phone & Primary Website)
3. Postcard Marketing: {Follow Up Campaign} My oh my, is this a powerful and extremely effective tool. Imagine you buy someone's product online, keep in mind this is a person you have never met and probably never spoken to before and you are happy with the product and keep it... Well a few days later, you get a greeting card in the mail from this marketer that reads something like this:
" Hey John/Mary,
I wanted to take a minute and thank you for allowing me to serve your needs with our product. I congratulate you for being a leader who sees the value in investing in your business. I also had some quick time to visit your website, and I must say I am impressed with the value you bring to others. If I can assist you in any way with our products to build your business, please feel free to contact me. Because of your support, I have included a special discount code for any future purchases from my business.

or a card to a prospect joins your system, who address you get reads like this:
" Hey Bob/Susan",
I had a quick minute to write to you, and I wanted to congratulate you for taking action, and getting started right. I want you to know I am not just a name on an email, but I am a real person who doesn't hide behind a computer. This industry thrives on building relationships, and I wanted to impart that to you today. Welcome to the team... we are a friendly bunch of people who are dedicated to helping everyone who is willing to work succeed in the team.
Oh, I almost forgot... I was checking out your webiste/ Facebook, etc. and wanted to tell you that you have a beautiful family, you are truly blessed. I know that seeing the smiles on my family/wife/husband's face drives me to work hard so we can live all our dreams. I see that family is important to you, schedule an appointment with me, and I will show you how to build your business that will help you to live your dreams.
