Free Network Marketing Training Vs Paid Network Marketing Training

Read More: Marketing

Everyone in network marketing needs to be continually training to be successful. FACT!

Network marketing training is the only way to get to the top and to stay at the top.

A recent debate that is taking place is which method of training should newbie network marketers get involved in free or paid?

As I was a newbie not to long ago I was faced with the same dilemma. There is no clear answer as it depends on each individuals situation.

What I will do is provide you with what I “figured out” along my way.

Free Network Marketing Training

Pros

   1. It cost you nothing financially
   2. Easy to find. (There is a lot of it about, everyone and their dog is giving away free training)
   3. You acquire a lot of broad knowledge

Cons

   1. It will consume a lot of your time
   2. Most free training provided is just a teaser to get you to buy the “real training course”
   3. You rarely get the complete way to do things, it is usually the basic idea of how to do it.

Paid Network Marketing Training

Pros

   1. Saves you a lot of time
   2. You get complete, precise, step-by-step information
   3. Most training programs give you the chance to also market their product (become an affiliate). Which means you can make your money back

Cons

   1. You have to pay for it
   2. You can get conned / scammed (always research the product, author and where possible the affiliate before you hand over your money).

Making The Right Decision

I started my online network marketing training by opt-in in to everyone’s list so that I can get access to their free training. Some were better than others and I did learn a lot.

It took me a while to gather all that I had learned and figure out a way that I could effectively use what I had learned.

Then I bought some training courses and they literally had everything that I had just spent a month+ researching in them.

They were Building On A Budget and Black Belt Recruiting

Always keep in mind that time cost money!

I totally understand that most people get into network marketing because they have no or very little money, so shelling out on training can seem risky, but wasting time is just as risky and in some cases riskier.

To help you make the right decision here is what I suggest.

Figure out what you want to achieve and how quick you want to achieve it. Then figure out how you are going to achieve it.

Now find a training course which relates to your chosen route to success. Do your research on the course to see if it has returned the desired results for other people. If all reports of the product come back mainly positive consider the cost of the product and how soon you would be able to acquire the funds required.

Now spend 2 hours doing some serious research into finding free, workable information for the same success route. Remember most free products only lead you to a paid product.

If you do not find what you are looking for to get you started I would suggest that you invest in the product you found previously. You save time and get exactly what you was looking for.

There are a lot of network marketing training tools, videos, articles etc. These are always good to look at and use to get an idea of what other people are doing and using to be successful.

Success continues and grow.

Well Said!!

Hey Dwayne,

Well said buddy, the right training is critical. Using social sites like BN is the best place to see the communities reactions to the best paid training products before parting with the cash.

Thanks for this.

Knowledge is Power (Potentially)

Well said Dwayne. I see way too many people who won't put down a dime for training and then complain when the free stuff doesn't give them what they want.

It can be painful to pay for training, especially if you're hurting financially but in the end, what you know will take you where you want to go.,,,, IF you take action on what you learn.

Great article. Thanks!

Great points, Dwayne

For me, it's a matter of trust...

I need to trust the affiliate and/or "guru" selling the training.

But if it's under $50, I'm not too stressed about it being a "scam" or not... because I'll only be out 50 bucks.
