The Car Salesman verses The Doctor

I was listening to one of my mentors on a training call last night. The topic of  call was based on why every Networker should be using a funded a proposal and branding themselves using Attraction Marketing principles.

Basically he went onto describe a great way about the conversation which differs between The Car salesman and the Doctor

Wait.... I know. what you're thinking. let me explain:)

 Okay. The difference between someone promoting their MLM or Network Marketing REPLICATED WEB SITE. Lets call this someone The Car sales man.

And some one using a FUNDED PROPOSAL whilst branding themselves as an expert using attraction marketing, lets call this guy the Doctor

Let's start with the The Car sales man.

When you go to the car sales showroom or forcourt, and you meet the The Car sales man, the conversation is set like this. The #1 goal and focus of the The Car sales man.is to sell you that car.

The only way he's getting his commission is to get that car sold on you. It's his living.

So you know he's trying to sell you a car, so there is a certain level of skepticism and mistrust cause he's trying to sell you something. This is one type of conversation.

If  you're out there PITCHING your opportunity, you are The Car sales man. That's right you're The Car sales man.selling your deal.

Now on the other hand, you visit your Doctor

Lets say  he gives you a prescription or recommends a medication, see how this is a very different conversation here, because there is no mistrust or skepticism here as he's not going push you or sell you those prescriptions onto you so that he makes a commission. ( Now some might have something to say here) but you get the idea.

On the whole the Doctor is here to recommend what's good for you to get you to feel better and he's making money on whether or not you take this presciption. This guy is here for your best interests because he's giving you his expertise, his knowledge and his valuable education and of course you have a certain level of trust with your Doctor" because he's an expert. That, you don't have with The Car sales man when your buying a car and that's how we should change the conversation. We put ourselves in the position of the Doctor. We put ourselves in the position of the expert that provides a valuable recommend.

So to conclude with the Attraction Marketer, you should never have to sell anybody on your opportunity business or products by convincing them about it because they already know that we are experts and we provide value and they know that I'm not in it for a quick buck.

You should always try to give them the tools and support that they need to succeed. And when they have that trust and see you as an expert, they will take your recommendation, not as a sales pitch, but as a recommend and that's what we are all about. We are changing the conversation from The Car sales man to the Doctor.
