Have You Read It Yet?

Most people haven't. They agreed to every word of it yet have no real idea what it contains. What am I talking about? Your Policies and Procedures. This is your contract and I would bet that the majority of distributors only see dollar signs when they join a company. Most P&P's are around 60 pages long, drawn up by some lawyer who is paid to protect the company. Do you really think that your P&P's are there to protect you?

Let me give you some examples of the most common terminology in a contract.

This contract is renewable on the distributors anniversary. The company reserves the right to not renew the contract.

The company reserves the right to terminate the distributor at will.

This is currently happening with two large MLM companies, Envia and Cyberwyze. They both seem to be having a contest to see which one can terminate the most top distributors. See www.mlmwatchdog for details.

This same thing happened to a friend of mine. His group was bringing in more volume than any other group in his company. His monthly check was averaging $46,000. The company got into financial trouble and terminated my friend. They still got all his volume but no longer had to pay out the $46,000.

Other things to look for are The distributor is responsible for ongoing training of his/her downline. Do you think you could ever retire from this company?

Look at your contract closely and remember one thing, it was written by lawyers to protect the company, not to protect you.
