People often ask me this question. “Should I start with a blog or a website”

This is a great question, and I would like to answer it by telling you what I do personally.I have both. In fact I only have 2 websites, and build a network marketing business with just the two.

It really does not matter if you choose one or two. Both with work. But I need to explain a few things about both that may help you from making mistakes.

Your Own Website

This is a place you setup that will give high valued information about yourself, company, or products. A website usually is just a billboard, or similar to having a booth at a trade show. It’s just a quick information site. There is really no interaction with the visitor to your site.

The mistake many people do in online MLM, is to use the company replicated website. The problem with these sites, is about 10,000 other people are promoting the same site. All that is different is the name and picture you upload.

Your website needs to be different and stand out from the crowd. It needs to be unique so when a visitor comes to your website they don’t just say “oh I have seen this website before”. The only way to make a personal website work is to have a short little video about you or your opportunity. Then ask the visitor to enter their email into your autoresponder to get more information. This is called a landing page, and will be the best use of a website.

Setup a Blog

Your blog is the place to really keep visitors coming back for more. Using a free software program called wordpress. You can have a blog setup in about 1 minute. They really are very simple to setup, and you could be blogging the same day you set it up. I recommend you getyour own domain and hosting. This way you are unique, and stand out from the crowd. Getting on a free blogging website is not recommended because it just looks cheap.

Your blog will be your central hub for all your online MLM activities. This is the place you can inform your readers daily about new trainings, new products, or just anything about your life worth posting. Online MLM is about helping others succeed in network marketing, so try and build your blog as a training center. Help others with daily training post, and they will want to always come back.

Using Both Blog and Website

This is the best way to maximize your online MLM returns by usingboth a blog and website. Your central hub will be your blog. With daily training post you can get readers to always come back. Then offer a link to your website with detailed information about your product or service.

Capturing a name and email on your website will let you follow up with your readers. Autoresponder systems are setup now that can send out daily, weekly, monthly emails. These can be setup in advanced to let you focus on creating high valued content for your blog.
