I wonder...
I wonder; what does the general population think of MLM???
I live in Norway, a little country with 5 million people (give or take..). One of our best financial magazines wrote an article about MLM, or to be precise, the article was about the founder of what seems to be a serious Network Marketing company(zinizino).
What bothers me the most, is that the article is called "(the founders name)'s new pyramid". PYRAMID, as in scam... This is a financial magazine with many readers, and has (as magazines and papers in general) great impact on the readers. What happens when people read this?? Do they automaticly think that the reporters view is coloured by his former experiences(like I do), or do they think that "since this reporter says so, it has to be correct."?? I believe that the last option is the rigth one... As an example, this company has existed for 2 years, and has only 1200 members in the 5 Nordic countries..(These countries has at least 15.000.000 people living in them).. Only 400 members here in Norway... And the guy who started this has made a fortune on MLM!! He has a HUGE contactlist! Why hasn't his new MLM-company gone ballistic??? Is it because people has lost faith in our wonderful system?? Is because we only focus on recruiting instead of selling our products??? Is it because people are tired of being told that "you only have to recruit so and so many new members, and the $'s will roll in!!"
If that is what we are telling them, anyone with a little knowledge of math know that 100x0=??? ZERO!!!! YES, if you don't produce income for your company, you won't get paid!!! If you don't do the job, selling your products etc, why would your downline do so?? They are following your example!!! I saw the article posted where one of my fellow members here at BetterNetworker thougth about changing company, and he had been asked the question "how much money have you made?" Maybe we should encourage our new partners to USE the products first, then SELL the products, before recruiting new members?? Just an idea.
So help me out here, I'm sticking my finger in the ground to see (with different eyes than my own) what people REALLY think about MLM..
Do you have an idea???
