Is it better to have tons of ONE TIME buyers or few REPEAT clients?

Hello everyone

As I keep reading different posts on here  I really enjoy the input of all the people, it's really a great place to be.

While reading a few posts about new school vs. old school it got me to think. What is really the difference between the two? From what I understand what is called "Old School" could be seen as a longer process. You can only meet so many people face to face in one day.

While the "New School" could be seen as a much quicker process. Where you can have hundreds or even thousands of prospects in the same day.

Now the question is, in each case witch client or prospect is more likely to do business and repeat business? And where should most of our effort be? How do we choose?
