Keyword Research & Article Marketing
Research your keywords before you write & don't stuff keywords.
SEO rules and algorithms are continuously evolving as the big 3 search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN) become more sophisticated, but there are a few basics that remain unchanged.
Meaningful niche keywords and niche keyword phrases that will identify what your article is about must be carefully chosen.
Research the terms that are used within the niche that you are writing about.
Create a list of related terms and then organize according to their relevance.
Usually, you will carefully select three keywords to use in a single article.
The primary keyword should be contained in the title of the article as well as somewhere in the first sentence of the text,
as close to the front of the sentence as possible. The secondary keyword must be contained in following paragraphs of the text, as must the third keyword or keyword phrase.
Throughout the article's text, variants of the keyword or keyword phrase can be used.
For example, if you primary keyword happens to be "MLM" you might use the words Marketing,
Network Marketing, Affiliate, Prospects, Leads, Home Business, Work From Home as variants of the main keyword phrase.
The intelligent search engines will pick up on this looking at related keywords and the use within a site or article.
Keyword placement is also important when learning how to write SEO articles. By using the exact keyword phrase once and then using the words of the keyword phrase separated by a few other words can increase your SEO ranking.
For example, "Home Business" as a keyword phrases could also appear in the text as "Home Based Internet Business" MLM could be phrased into MLM Business Opportunity, Home Business Could be Internet Home Business and still count toward keyword density.
Work From Home could be varied into Work at Home Moms or Working From Home.
Remember This: Optimised SEO articles will usually have a keyword density of about 2-3% for your primary keyword and 1.5% for your secondary keywords.
Articles too high in keyword density will score dismally on the search engine rankings and those that meet the density optimization rules and specifications will score much higher.
As your articles are ranked by search engines, you'll find if you over do the keyword density the search engines will classify it as, what is known as keyword spamming, packing an article full of keywords creating an abnormally high density, will result in your article failing to show up in the search results.
This is to prevent people from creating senseless articles that are just strings of keywords. Over packing an article with keywords is completely senseless and doesn’t help you promotional efforts at all. By learning how to write SEO articles with a focus on your providing high quality information and value for your visitors will encourage repeat website visitors to your site, achieving a higher SEO ranking and ultimately a greater income.

Good post..
Keywords are important in articles, but did you know that they are also necessary if you turn your articles into a "Kindle" book on Amazon? I've been doing this for a while, and by making the articles themselves search engine friendly and then following the same formula for the books I wind up with way more sales than if I didn't do that.
