Many people scratch their heads when they get a new website up and running.  You can have the best and prettiest website out there but what good is it if no one knows about it?

My genius business partner, Sabrina Gibson, came up with this simple instruction sheet.  And yes, I have her permission to share this with all of you. =)

Sabrina has been in the online business for 10+ years; expert in website development, online marketing strategies, and social media networking.  My mentor, buddy, and a wonderful business partner on many projects.

Great success to you!

Send an email to your entire database announcing your new website.  You will want to instruct them to sign up for your FREEBIE (email catcher) and tell them where to do that.  Ask them for feedback and encourage them to share the website with their friends and family.

Update any of your profiles on social networking sites such as LinkedIn.com, Facebook.com, Plaxo.com, Twitter.com, and of course, BetterNetworker.com

    1. Add LION right after your name in your profile.  This means Linked In Open Networker.  It means you are open to connecting with anyone and will accept any invitation to connect.  Other people will find you through searches this way.
    2. Find groups that have your target market and join them.  (e.g. HR Directors)
    3. Do something every 2 or 3 days to your LinkedIn Profile, connect with someone, post a question, join a group, etc.  This will keep you in high visibility with your connections.
    4. Add the Linked IN toolbar to Outlook and every email that comes in check to see if they are in Linked In….if you know them and they are not in your network, send them an invitation through Outlook.
    5. Go through your network on LinkedIn…anyone you know ask them for a testimonial.  Be sure to ask only the people who know you

*********************************************************************************************

Write up a short press release about the new launch of the website.  Make a point to mention your free tips – who they are for and what they provide.  Submit this to online article and press release websites (free).  In the article be sure to include one or two powerful tips for your target market.  You may want to do one for each target market.  (E.g. Speakers, Corporations, Teams, etc.).  Go to Google and type in   free article submission     then submit your article to all of these sites.  Go to Google and type in    free press release submission    then submit your article to all of these sites

*****************************************************************************************************

Go to Google, choose more and then choose blogs.  Search blogs that target your target market.  (E.g   HR Directors)  Go to the site and make a post letting them know you have free tips for team building.  You can also give them a link to your article (once it is posted in a free article site)  Contact the owner of the blog and offer to do a post for them with tips for team building

******************************************************************************************************

Take your video and stream it with Audio Acrobat and then submit it to several online video podcast directories (e.g. YouTube.com, Itunes.com)  You can find more by going to Google and type in Video Podcast Directories.   Be sure to provide a link back to your website in the video and your contact info.

*****************************************************************************************************

Google Analytics  - Go to Google.com – click Sign IN – if you have an account sign in….if you don’t get a free account and then sign in.  Click on My Account.  Click on Google Analytics.  Click on Create a New website profile.  Get the code and send it to us and we will incorporate it into your website.

***************************************************************************************************

Make a list of keywords for your website.  Suggestion: Choose a maximum of 25 words.  You don’t have to worry about plural and singular for a word  (Team and Teams….just choose 1).

********************************************************************************************

Go to Alexa.com and search for your website.  Update the profile for the website.

****************************************************************************************************

Go to Amazon.com and search for books you have read that your target market might be interested in.  Make a comment on the books and be sure to include your name, title and website address
