MLM Lies and the Secret to Success
Network marketers fail to establish lucrative businesses because of the heaps of misinformation out there. Preying on human laziness, network marketing companies tell you that you don't need any significant commitment to make it big. But that's a blatant lie. Luckily, my mentor Ann Sieg does a great job of exposing 7 ways this lie is propagated so that we can cut through them and get to the true secret of success. That secret is: learning to do targeted professional marketing. Let's summarize the 7 lies into 3 categories.
The first type of lie in network marketing tells you that you don't have to learn anything about business. If you're sufficiently motivated you can easily achieve success! All you need to do is harass every person you meet. Anyone can do it! But this is ludicrous because some people hate MLM, almost everyone hates high pressured sales, and over 90% of aspiring network marketers fail. You have to learn how to do sales effectively.
Another type of lie says the product is so great that it will sell itself. This is patently false. A vegan doesn't care how good your steak is, and a content employee who detests responsibility doesn't care how amazing your business opportunity is. On top of that, no one will buy something great if they don't know about it. You have to effectively communicate how a product fulfills someone's need without annoying them. You have to learn to market.
Lastly, they may say the business runs itself. You don't have to do anything! The upline will provide the sales techniques, the training, the leads, and they'll even close the deal. But if someone else is doing everything, why do they need you? If you want to see any significant profit you have to provide real value through successful marketing and team building.
The moral of the story is that success in network marketing requires work and making a profit requires selling products. And you're never going to sell an idea or a product unless you can effectively communicate it through efficient marketing techniques. You have to work smarter and make a real commitment.
