Network Marketers- Are You Trusted?
Several years ago before I started doing Business Online one of my offline ventures was a carpet cleaning Business. Another was a Construction Business.
With these offline Businesses I was able to go to the prospects home and I would be able to talk with them face to face.
They would ask me questions and details about the job and I would answer with total honesty. If I didn’t know the answer I would find out for them as quickly as I could.
Most of the time while talking with the prospect, they would be listeing carefully to my answers for a few reasons: to see if I knew what I was talking about and also to find a likness to me so they would feel comfortable letting me in their home to do the job. They were seeing if they could trust me.
Most of the time if I was personable and honest with them and just be my usual self, I would get the job. Yes price did matter, but in some cases, I found out later during the job, that I was the higest bidder on it, but got the job anyway because they felt more comfortable with me than some other contractor. That always let me know I was doing the right thing.
If you have a brick and mortor Business not going so well, take a good look at how you are approaching prospects. You may find that you need to change up a bit.
Now, with Online Business, you don’t usually have the option of meeting face to face with prospects. At Least not initially.
But Guess what!
It’s the same way.
You see. In Online Business, it doesn’t really matter whether you actually see the prospect or not. You still must be Honest and trustworthy, always.
Believe me, you start throwing “get rich quick” scams at your list and you will lose that list fast. You start trying to teach them something you know nothing about, your prospects will pick up on that and you won’t have a list for long.
When you send emails to your list, you are also sending a vibe to them, a tone. They will know quickly just by the tone of the email whether they want to stay with you or not. So choose the tone wisely and it will serve you well.
Some Marketers have a Humorous tone. Some have a Serious tone. And others have a straight and forward tone. These work well with each respective Marketer because they are most likely just like that in person. They are being themselves and sharing their thoughts on paper.
Once these prospects get to know and like you, they will then, and only then, consider buying your product.
I believe it really is just that simple to get Prospects to learn to trust you. Be Yourself!
