Are you struggling to Generate Leads for your Network Marketing Company?

Hey my name is Tristan Richards and for me this was a difficult task, and a very big obstacle in the way of my network marketing success and for many out there who are still struggling to generate leads. Leads are essential when building any business, and a constant flow of  leads will keep your business up and running, like the blood in our veins. If enough blood is not pumping through our bodies we are going to feel and get weak and sooner than later.....doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what is next, so this is how you should look and focus on your lead generation for your network marketing company, absolutely essential. This article gives you a basic idea on how you should go about your marketing in order to generate leads to your business daily.

Why you are probably struggling

The reason why most struggle with lead generation is simple because they are leading with their business opportunity or company product. You may be confused by this. Your probably saying to yourself  "I have a great product and the compensation plan is the best I have seen, why wouldn't anybody join me or buy my product?"  To be honest people don't care much about your company or product.  First of all your business and product is not for everyone, you will never get a vegetarian to eat or buy a piece of steak, and not everyone are business owners or looking to start their own business.

So you need to stop chasing these people to join you or buy your product. You want them to come to you and it all comes down to proper and effective marketing Strategies.

Your Solution

Knowing your Target Market

This is key to being successful in your business. I can't say how important this is, knowing your target market. First you should market your product to people who have a desire or need to purchase it, position yourself not as a sales person but as an expert who provides solution to who so ever is actively seeking what you have to offer.

People don't like to be sold they like to buy. In our case the only people we should be marketing to is other network marketers, people who have been in network marketing and who are actively buying information about the business...Why??

- Network marketers already believe in the business model.

- Network marketers want to succeed.

- Network marketers have already spent money in the industry.

- And they are willing and eager to purchase or use anything that will help them.

Leading with value/solutions instead of your product or opportunity

If you really want to be generating a constant flow of leads to your business, you have to market YOU, position yourself as a leader in the market place, an expert, a person who has solutions to other people's problems.

How do you do this??

You have to be willing to educate yourself, increase your value and then in return share that willingly and for free with others without wanting anything in return.

This is called attraction marketing, how to become the hunted instead of the hunter. It's is all about marketing YOU as a leader, people are attracted to leaders, it is not a choice but a natural biological/instinctual trigger inside a person. So by becoming a leader/solution provider you will automatically attract leads and prospect to you. The only thing is that you need to get all what your sharing infront of the right people, again I refer to your education, knowing how to market.

Hi Tristan - Great article! You hit on the the three key points you need to market strategically. WHO you will reach (target market), WHAT solution you provide, and WHY they should work with YOU. You need to understand all three components to be effective in your marketing. Otherwise, you will end up spinning your wheels. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for reinforcing what should be obvious. You have to build relationships first. A quote form Zig Ziglar says it all: "If people like you they"ll listen to you, if they trust you they"ll do business with you" YOu can't build trust without 1st building a relationship

Hello, Tristan. Your article is well written, and well explained. Thank you so much for sharing these tips.

I remember when I had first joined my MLM business... I was so excited about having my first Prospect. I asked my up-line for advice on how to handle this potential Customer/Associate. His reply was... 'Don't even talk about your business'. I thought to myself... "WHAT??"

It took some time, but then I finally figured it out. I finally understood. It is about building relationships first. It is about branding yourself as leader and a professional. It is about giving value and offering solutions to those who are struggling. It is about Marketing YOU.

Target Market

This point is so mis-taught in the network marketing/ MLM industry. I think most could relate to their first experience of MLM and being told to sit down and write out 100 of anyone that you ever knew in your lifetime. (I have even been told to sit down with a phone book to jog your memory for names!) UUGGGHH!

Today the informed marketers know that there is a better way. To TARGET people who are looking for what you have and then attract them to you!

Great article Tristan. Makes so much sense but funny how we naturally want to slip into the product marketing mode even when we have been told about attraction marketing. I think it's because we sometimes don't feel comfortable marketing ourselves. All the more reason why one has to learn more to share more. Also really important to work on one's self esteem so that we believe in ourselves and what we have to offer others.
