Not Every Facebook Marketing Course Is Current

Facebook marketing courses seem more and more to arrive on the scene and then sadly become obsolete. For any network and internet marketers out there who feel the need to jump onto the trampline of Facebook marketing, I highly recommend that you do your due diligence and really check out what's on today's market. With all of the algorithm changes and analytical alterations happening so often, particularly within Facebook, I can not imagine anyone not checking into when the course was produced, who its author(s) might be, and what type of credentials they can claim that are accurate. There is certainly way too much at stake when going about setting up an effective plan which incorporates Facebook into your daily advertising efforts not to take this seriously. In her book "The Facebook Era," Clara Shih delves deeply into distinct approaches to market on the Facebook platform. Sadly, however, the book was published in 2009, and even though incredibly informative, most of its content remains pertinent but is yet, now incomplete, but certainly worth a read.

Initially, we must get some points straight regarding what Facebook marketing shouldn't be. For example, say you possess an old car that you need to unload. You get on your individual personal page and inform all of your good friends that you have it for sale. This is probably a one-time deal, so, no big deal. Let's then say, for example, that you own a small business of some sort either on line or offline and you decide to begin promoting it over and over again on your private page. This type of information really is now regarded more as undesirable spam than advertising and marketing. For anyone who has a business that they desire to promote "to friends of  their friends," this type of spamming can either get them banished from Facebook, "unfriended" by "friends," or possibly publicly humiliated by someone who feels harassed.  Over and above that, if somebody promotes their opportunity or biz op link on somebody else's wall, they could also be reported and consequently banned. At this time, this doesn't constitute and egregious abuse of Facebook (although attitudes at Facebook are moving that way), however it does constitute a comprehensive lack of courtesy and professionalism and could get you labeled as a spammer resluting in temporary or permanent banning. So, this is absolutely NOT what professionals consider to be Facebook marketing.

So, does Facebook marketing only imply surfing around and looking to sell stuff to your pals? Hardly. Facebook doesn't "like" repeat offenders and they will eventually get shut down permanently. In actual fact, many already have met such a fate. So what's up with Facebook marketing? Actually, as it's becoming a lot more well-liked, it just isn't one particularly homogenous approach. Facebook marketing covers everything from acquiring subscribers and fans, following, commenting on and sharing posts with relevant comments, producing either subtle or bold or curious posts directly from a fan page, and last but not least, Facebook PPC. Of all these approaches, many are effective and nobody can claim one is any better or more effective than another. In actual fact, some individuals can devote time following and commenting on others' posts in such a way as to raise eyebrows and "attract" people to follow them. Then there are other people who can drive website traffic effortlessly by incorporating PPC. It seriously is determined by what strategy individuals want to test and try and what "fits" them best.

Michelle Pescosolido's course, Social Media Mastery, is a great program that teaches volumes from the basics of setting up a fanpage, acquiring and installing relevant I-Frame apps, to getting started in Facebook marketing like the professionals do. All done by way of video "modules," she starts by giving a short overview on the history of facebook then moving in to the education. She covers setting up a Fanpage, setting up a landing tab for your fanpage after which she gets heavily into ways to drive traffic to your new landing tab in your fanpage. It's particularly detailed and she shows by way of video exactly what to you should want to accomplish and the detailed ways to do it. This tends to make her course extremely important for facebook marketing training for the reason that it is a step-by-step approach to how to set up distinct marketing campaigns inside facebook and how to manipulate your landing tab based on where you need to send targeted traffic.  What's more is that it has been updated to include the new Timeline for fanpages and how to react to its changes.  This is why she has been dubbed "The Facebook Queen."

Michelle delves deeply into the demographic aspects of targeting a particular audience for those interested in PPC. She gives very important information on the way to set up demographics to achieve maximum final results. For me personally, her method of pin-pointing demographics yields a significant amount of leads for my business, while at the same time, adding more than a thousand fans to my web page. The advertisements that I ran in the past were, at best, ineffective. With the tweaking that she teaches inside the Facebook Marketing Overload course, it has created a remarkable difference in my business related ads. I recommend it for anyone who has an interest in Facebook marketing and who desires to learn ways to properly market and advertise using Facebook.
