Are Facebook Ads The Best Adwords Alternative?
Internet marketers got blindsided a few months ago when Google decided to disable over 50,000 Adwords accounts. Many
affiliate marketers’ businesses were completely shut down because of this. 99% of internet marketers used Google Adwords PPC as their primary, and in most cases, only source of marketing. After all, thats where the majority of the traffic is, right? People say that it’s foolish to have all of your eggs in one basket, but let’s be real here. Things like this are NOT supposed to happen.
While Google continues the suspension and decide who can or cannot advertise with them, there is an alternative that is emerging, and may very well be a lot more targeted and a HELL of a lot cheaper than Adwords. This platform is Facebook Ads.
Facebook is the second highest traffic ranked site, behind Google. Users spend a more time on Facebook than any other site too. Statistics show that the average Facebook user logs on four to five times daily, and spends an average time of four to five minutes per log in. Folks, in internet language, that is an eternity. The big problem is, Facebook has many stringent rules and guidelines, even more than Google Adwordsdoes. The do allow affiliate marketing, but they don’t allow business opportunities. So if your advertising a home business, you need to be slick and careful.
There is a science to Facebook Ads that most internet marketers don’t know. I didn’t until I purchased a course that taught me how the do’s and don’ts. After learning how to get in the minds of people socializing on Facebook and actually make ads that convert to sales, I am blown away by my results. Not only are the ads a lot cheaper, but they are way more targeted, if youknow how to structure them. It’s not easy to get an ad to stick either. You need to keep a CTR of .02 or better, otherwise FB will not show your ad. And, people are socializing on Facebook, not necessarily looking for an opportunity. This is contextual advertising, not search based marketing. So you better have a kick ass offer or people will not click on your ad, much less optin.
