 Ever hear the name James Arthur Ray? He's the infamous "sweat lodge guru," sentenced to 3 years in jail for negligent homicide in the deaths of 3 people at a sweat lodge retreat held in Arizona several years ago.

Now this guy was absolutely beloved by his fans. Made a ton of money, was extremely popular, and even appeared on the Today Show, Larry King Live, and Oprah. He seemed legit.

But as it turns out, he wasn't exactly the leader most people thought he was.

Now, this is an extreme example, to be sure.

However, it begs the question..."IS the really such a thing as a fake guru? "

Haha, there certainly was a lot of "guru" talk today!

A quick Google search defines "guru" as:

1. A trusted counselor and adviser; a mentor.
2. A recognized leader in a field.
3. An acknowledged and influential advocate, as of a movement or idea.

So take a moment and think... What does the word "guru" mean to you?
