Recruit Like A Bumble Bee | MLM Marketing Tip

Here's a fact that blew me away today. "A bee has to visit over 4500 flowers to make a single tablespoon of honey." Gosh, that little fellar works for his money... errrr... honey... doesn't he?

I mean, how many people have you visited this month, this week, this day?

How about today?

How many articles did you write? How many comments did you leave? How many e-mails did you send? How many ads did you post? How many hands did you shake? How many times did you pick up the phone? How many hours did you spend watching television?

You know, it's almost a given that a Network Marketing newbie will give up before they talk to a dozen prospects - it's practically expected.

And there's nothing wrong with being new or old.

Ignorance IS a pretty good excuse... and quitting really IS an option...

You see, if Network Marketing is something you really don't want to do then there's no shame in quitting. I mean, there's no shame in quitting somebody else's dreams - as long as they aren't YOUR dreams.

BUT, when you say that you're a Network Marketer... when you say that you're in business... when know that you are playing a numbers game... and you're not working the numbers...

THEN, you're ignoring reality.

AND You're LYING to yourself...

They say, "A bee has to visit over 4500 flowers to make a single tablespoon of honey."

I don't know if that's true or not...

But, don't lie to yourself... this business does take work... a lot of work...

The guys and gals who make the honey... errr... money... really are busy little bees.

Having read this, will you do me a small favor? I hope you will.

Thumbs up!

Jason,
This has to be my favorite blog post of yours. NetWORK, not NetHOBBY.

Buzzy as a Beaver...

Hey Thanks Jason,

For helping keep it real...

There's no doubt it all takes Real Work!

It doesn't matter if you're building custom homes or building your own lucrative home business, it takes a well drawn plan, focused attention and a dedicated effort to achieve success.

Thanks for this thoughtful piece.

Your buddy,

NetWORK Marketing

@Charlene

Thank you.

"NetWORK, not NetHOBBY" marketing. Now that's clever!

@Mitchell

Almost broke a rib on that one Mitchell...

"Buzzy As A Beaver" shucks!

I don't know if your Blackberry is set to buzz every time I post something but you're going to break Josh Garcia's comment streak if you keep this stuff up. :-)

This will make you Buzz

The happiness of the bee and the dolphin is to exist. For man it is to know that and to wonder at it.

Great job Jason

You made my day...

Jason,

This is such a great post. I actually was debating on whether I was going to submit my rather "Candid" article I wrote today. (now i most certainly will) I love your candor. I hate to use the words...but some folks need to sh*t or get off the pot!...just saying.

I'm going to share this all over the web!

Have a great week!

Anne

Derrick Esmond — Sun, 05/02/2010 - 11:01pm

time to visit a few more flowers today

Great points - it is a bout dialing for dollars thanks for the reminder

I love it!!

Wow! Imagine that! That's why they call them 'busy bees.'

Another thing I heard is, that the wings on a bumble bee are actually to small to support it's body and therefore it should not be able to fly. Now, that little creature doesn't know that. It's flying anyway.

How often are we humans confronted with something that seems impossible and because we know that, we don't even try.

Wish there would be more human bumble bees!

FLY ANYWAY!!

Ilka Flood — Mon, 05/03/2010 - 11:31pm

WOW, that´s the truth of Network Marketing

Work hard and enjoy your victory!

Volker Schaefer — Tue, 05/04/2010 - 10:54am

So TRUE

This is a great reality check! Bees don't make excuses, they just keep on going.

More network marketers should bee like the bee.

I'm glad I didn't watch TV!

I got it. I've taken a page from Better Networker Mike Dillard and I've focused the last few weeks on figuring out how to drive quality leads. But there is nothing that replaces "flight time".

Great Article

It's almost like a rookie...

"the wings on a bumble bee are actually to small to support it's body and therefore it should not be able to fly. Now, that little creature doesn't know that. It's flying anyway."

Almost like the rookie who goes out there and recruits more than his trainers in his very first month... till he looks at the size of his wings...

Jason Better — Wed, 05/05/2010 - 7:37am

Love It!

Wonderful analogy Jason! Just keep buzzing along, and yes with the weight those tiny wings carry too! It's definitely hard work but the payoff is well worth it if you have the sticktoitiveness!

Thanks for an inspiring post!
