Don't Tell Me Your Mama Didn't Tell You About Backlinks!
If you are wondering how can I increase the traffic to my blog without having to break my bank, you'll want to continue reading this.
If you are satisfied with your traffic then just go ahead and leave me a comment so we could visit your blog.
Now for those that know it is important to have traffic coming into your blog. You will see that by having backlinks, it helps to generate traffic. You can have the best looking blog in your niche but if you are lacking traffic. It's like having nothing at all.
2 powerful ways to generate backlinks to your blog
1. Submitting articles: Are you taking what you are writing and submitting it to websites like E-zines or Better Networker. To make this work it is best to submit as many articles as you can. The reason being is when you submit these articles you have the option to include a resource box at the bottom of the article. It is wise to take advantage of this as it is a way to build a backlink to your blog or site. Using this method is probably one of the most powerful ways to build backlinks.
2. Commenting: By leaving comments on Forums and blogs is an easy way to generate backlinks and visitors.
The reason your comments are a powerful traffic generator by what you are saying it hints to people to visit your blog or site. There is a draw back that I do want to mentioned. It takes a great amount of comments to see a noticeable traffic to your blog. However, let me ask you this question, "Do you think it's worth it to comment, so you can receive free leads?"
Here is one key component to remember when commenting on someone else blog or forum. Because the owner of the blog does have control of what comments are to be seen. Make sure your comments are not to aggressively marketing to your blog or site. It they are, the owner will prevent them from showing up.
Being successful at building backlinks is not hard to accomplish. Just use both methods as mentioned and see what happens to your traffic over time.

Effective Tips...
Hey Josh,
These tips can help people understand how to get some quality backlinks to their blog. They may sound simple, but they are very effective and not to be missed!
Hi Josh, Actually,
Hi Josh,
Actually, commenting on blogs is more effective for a marketing campaign than for building backlinks because in most cases, the comments carry the person's name, not the keyword that you are hoping to rank for. What results is you wind up ranking for your name, not the keyword in question.
And most blog owners don't like it when you comment using your keyword....after all, who is going to take someone named Krupps coffeemaker reviews seriously, right?
From a marketing standpoint, I have been able to successfully leverage traffic from comments although the pathways after they reach my site(s) show that it is more curiousity visitors than actual action takers. I have been working on a better call to action for comment marketing and playing with ad formats to try to net them though.
In a nutshell, I agree
There certainly are many ways to drive traffic to a blog, but the 2 most effective ones and content syndication and comments, I absolutely agree.
However, the MOST effective one for me is Twitter; right now I generated over 90% of my traffic from it.
The trick is to provide good value and not inundated your followers with your own content.
Best,
