For anyone new to visiting my blog or don’t know who Jason Better is… 

I am a member of Mike Dillard’s monthly newsletter, What’s Working Now.  This brings together, the top dogs of network marketing, as they share their personal strategies of what is working now for them.

Jason Better has a monthly section where members can enter their blog or website to be personally critiqued by himself and reviewed by the Godfather of Network Marketing, Mike Dillard.

This was an unbelievable opportunity and these tips can really help your SEO efforts online.

Here are five more steps that Jason Better suggested to help my blogs SEO rankings that will also HELP you:

1. Why Links Are Like A Box Of Chocolates
Jason Better quoted Forest Gump while comparing my links.
They’re kinda like a box of chocolates.  You never know what you’ve gonna get”

This was his way of telling me that it is ok to link to my site using Tommy D., Prospecting Hero and “Click Here”.  To improve your SEO by using keywords or descriptive text in the links.

An example would be to replace a “click here” and use something more description CLICK HERE FOR MORE>> MLM Sales Strategies For The Home Business Owner.

The good news is that I have been doing this for quite some time.

2. How To Keep Your SEO Batteries Charged
This is a common SEO mistake that we all make linking too often and not utilitzing the “nofollow” link.

You will want to limit the amount of links to your blog posts and articles.  You can use “nofollow” links that have nothing to do with your SEO strategy.  By doing this, it helps gives more attention to the links that you want Google to love.
3. Simple SEO Tricks for Video Marketing

Make sure you write a brief proper description and use your keywords.  If not, your videos are invisible to search engines like Google.  This is not a difficult task and can impact your entire video marketing campaign.

Jason Better said,

“Imagine trying to buy a DVD from a video store that doesn’t believe in cases, covers, titles, or descriptive text of any kind.”

4. Why some Links SUCK for SEO
Many of my inbound links are “nofollow” links from blog commenting.  It stinks because inbound nofollow links have no SEO value.

Jason says this is because the SEO bots that crawl my site ignore them.

The solution…

A suggestion that I have already been working which is building inbound links from reputable sites that have value.  These are sites that have high Page Rank.  The site that I use is Better Networker.

5. How To Link To Nowhere FAST
The SEO rules that I have been breaking is that I am linking to many other websites in my content.

What does this mean?

If a SEO Bot is crawling my site, once is hits a link, my “Google Power” is gone off to that other website.

This hurts my personal links from getting ranked in the search engines.

Jason’s solution was to use more “nofollow” links or less links in your articles in general.  You want to keep that “Google Power” and help your personal links get ranked as high as possible.

The Bottom Line
Even though I was not using SEO to get my content found.  I have been discovering how important it is because this is free advertising that does get your content found on the major search engines.

It is always a learning process and these simple techniques have helped me improve my SEO skills immensely.  They can be immediately implemented into your own personal strategies and I hope you do take advantage of them.
