How To Increase Your YouTube Channel's Page Rank And Get More Backlink Juice

As a Internet Marketer you can't deny how important it is, to include YouTube into your marketing strategy. 

And because YouTube is such a vital part to many of our business, I want to share with you this short but very valuable, YouTube backlink tip.

Before learning about this, whenever I posted a link to my channel on an external site, I always did so in this manner http://youtube.com/channelname and this is the way that most of us type our channel's URL when we post it on external sites.

I soon learned that the problem with typing it out this way....

Search engine bots are not able to crawl and index your YouTube Channel. Why?

Because YouTube has this version of the URL set to nofollow. YouTube also has your video links set to nofollow.

My hunch is, YouTube wants to be more of a Social site and not just a video storage site. So they place more emphasis on the channel's link, because that's where members go to socialize.

Don't forget who owns YouTube.... Google! And it's no secret that Google, wants in on the social networking business.

But by linking your Channel's URL like this, http://youtube.com/user/channelname, adding in "user", the search engine bots are able to crawl your channel, therefore increasing its page rank and giving it some Google backlink juice.
