SEO Tricks For Network Marketers

One of the things that I'm asked time and time again is "Where should someone in MLM start if they want to learn the ropes of SEO?"

Should they target "major industry" keywords, "gurus" in the industry?

So where should people start?

The truth is, SEO is not a "quick way" to generate leads for your business, but rather a long-term way to build it.  It's worked for years, and will continue to do so for a long time.

My advice is...start with people who are specifically looking for your own products and services.

If you are in XYZ company, get ranked for the main XYZ company keyword.

If you are promoting XYZ juice from that company, go out and target those specific keywords in the Search Engines.

If you are promoting the business opportunity, target XYZ review, XYZ business, you know the drill.

Be THE place to get found for your company related keywords and searchers who are looking for those words.

Another great tactic for your site is to set up a company "news" section, announcing everything from company conventions, product launches, new CEOs, everything.

After a while, search engines will view your site as an authority for for all things related to your company and reward you with more searchers.

One other technique is to generate local leads using Google places.

Go ahead and type in "XYZ company" and your own city or state.

More than likely you will find what is a map listing with listings that local people have created, and these listings quite often sit very high up on the page of a Google listing.

Better yet, these are local people who are looking to either join your company, or have heard about your products.  So they more than likely already are sold on your company and products, and looking for someone to BUY from.
